Chapter 1

On a rainy autumn day, a teenage girl was sitting on her Moss Green couch writing in her journal. She had tears running down her face as she wrote.

'December 25, 2021

Dear diary, my Mama and I got a call from the hospital. They said that my Papa passed away from that disease Hisko Pocks. Hisko Pocks is a disease that eats at your lungs, and you can only get rid of it by surgery. Well, that's what they say. You see, I think that they just didn't try hard enough to help my Papa. It's really sickening to think about it, but I just can't get over it. I have been crying all day. I'm so tired but I can't sleep. It feels like I'm in a really, really, terrible dream. I'm afraid to go to sleep and see that it's real.  Tomorrow is going to be an eventful day.. I need to talk to someone, but I'll do it in the morning.... Night..'

"I can't do this anymore. Crying all day won't help. I need to do something." She had said. So, she got her sketchbook  out and started drawing not knowing what she would draw.

You can hear the sound of her crying and graphite gliding on a piece of paper.

She then got in her cozy brown queen bed and tried to sleep.

"Ariei, it's mama. Can I come in?" Ariei thought about it and went to open the door, when she opened it, she saw her mama with tears running down her face, so she let her in her room.

When her mama got into her room, she sat on Ariei's Moss Green couch and patted the space between her and the arm of the couch. Letting Ariei know to come sit.

Once Ariei sat beside her mama she started talking "I know that we just got the news about your Papa, I just want you to know that your siblings and I are here for you but, you can always talk to me if you need to talk to anyone. I'm also confident that Apollo and Ursa will be there for you too." she said with a sad smile on her face. Ariei just started crying, so her mama brought her into a hug while singing her a song that always calms her down.

At the end of the song Ariei was sleeping in her mama's arms with tear stains on her face so, her mama put her in her bed tucking her in.
