The school day dragged on painfully slow, thankfully my way to get my mind off everything was Percy.
After getting him tacked up I lead him out to the arena for lessons when I passed by Vanessa talking to Camille with there horses as Vanessa brushed her horse Majesty.
They hadn't seen me yet due to me being across the corner and all the way down the hall so I just continued to walk and mind my own business. All until I hear Camille comment to something Vanessa must have said.
"The fact that the school hasn't kicked her out is even more insane than the fact they can't get better guards to watch the grounds to get the killers caught. This is obviously all happening because she can't figure anything out in her life." I hear Camille say.
I stoped dead in my tracks, my mind stoping for a second. They were obviously talking both me... my fault?????!!!?!?? How on earth was this my fault?!
I decided to not start anything and continue to walk when I hear one more thing.
"She's such a danger that the killers killing all of her friends before her. No wonder they choose her as their target." Camille says.
"How do you know that she's the target?" Vanessa asks. She didn't have any confusion or anything in her voice, just curiosity.
"Because the killer said so himself when he wrote her name in red blood paint on her dorm house wall." She said.
"I didn't hear anything about that..." Vanessa says.
"It gets even juicier. Apparently the school tried to get the dorm representative to say nothing but a student had apparently already seen it and sent a photo to the police. For all we know now since the school has no problem with bribe, for all we know Lauren could just be paying the school off to let her continue. It's not like she's ever had a chance here anyways."

As soon as I got to the arena my mind was so full of thoughts and questions I'm surprised my head didn't explode. Blood red paint?! Why didn't anyone say anything? And the school tried to pay someone off for silence on that too??!??!??
I don't know how long I was standing there but someone soon tapped me on my shoulder making me jump and pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Hey, you good?" Abbie asks, her face had a worried expression on it. "You look pale..."
"I'm fine" I try to moot say it too quickly. She didn't need to worry any more than she did. "Percy jumped earlier when he saw a squirt and almost got away. Guess I'm just a little shaken up still..."
I felt bad for lying. But it was for the best.
"Good thing he didn't get loose" she smiles slightly. Soon Isabelle walked over followed by her horse Jubillie, a white and brown Appaloosa.
