Chapter 1: Give Me Some Sugar.

Beca was curled up into her clean, white blanket. It felt colder than usual, but she knew her girlfriend most likely went on a run or had some business to be taken care of early in the morning. Nothing could come between the brunette's sleep, she loved getting snuggled into the bed, but specifically with her girlfriend. But there was this faint smell of a sugary delicacy coming into the cozy bedroom, it was hard to resist whatever baked good was being made. Beca let out a groan, unsure if she should investigate the smell or go back to sleep. She talked pro's and con's in her head, If she had went and investigated, she could also look for Aubrey in the gym and hand her something. Unless she'd get eaten by an eerily sweet grandma using her baked goods to lure unsuspecting children and adults who get tempted easily just by a whiff of sugar and spice. "Screw it.' the student thought, if this was her passing, it'd be a good one. Beca hopped out of the bed, and unwrinkled the sheets before tip-toeing quietly outside. As she got on her tippy toes, sneaking outside, looking left and right. The sight she saw left her jaw dropped, her mouth went dry, with her brows raised.

Her girlfriend Aubrey Posen, was whipping up pastries with a tight-fitting pink gingham apron. Aubrey had just put the pastry into the oven, dusting her hands off after. She quickly noticed the gaped brunette, looking like she was in a trance.

'Morning Becs.' the blonde said with a grin while leaning on the countertop and drinking what smelled like coffee. The woman shook her thoughts away, her heart fluttered and she knew that she fell even harder for this gray emerald-eyed beauty standing before her.

'Bree, you bake?' Beca got straight to the point, noticing her favourite dessert baking, the whole kitchen was filled with the aromatic smell of cinnamon and apples.

Aubrey just hummed a yes.

'Did I wake you up darling?'

'It's good i woke up, or else i would have missed this sight.'

Beca rushed to embrace the blonde. Aubrey immediately reacted by running her hand through the brunette's curly locks.

'It's your favourite, apple pie.

''I know.'

Beca mumbled into Aubrey's neck, followed by a peck on the woman's neck. The younger brunette asked what was the occasion, to Aubrey's amusement, a genuine smile formed on her lips.

'You don't remember anything "special" that occurred recently?'

She just shook her head, clueless on what her girlfriend will say. Aubrey had just giggled,

'It's you graduating, silly!'

The brunette got playfully slapped, Beca always brought out the blonde's softer side and relaxed manner somehow. There were many apple pies Beca tasted in her long obsession with this decadent pastry, but this one took the cake just by judging it's smell and that her hot blonde girlfriend made it. Apple pie was one of the first desserts they had shared in a quiet, comforting, humble cafe.

_________________________________________

It had all started with the both of them in the infamous 'Barden University'. Aubrey wasn't the type to approach others, kept her walls up high and only focusing on building solid foundations, instead of wasting time on unresourceful and meaningless activities with an exception of an awfully cheerful redhead. The redhead was a peacemaker, believed everyone could be best friends (despite despising each other..) and her enthusiasm plus perkiness made it incredibly hard to avoid her. Unsurprisingly, she made friends with Beca and Aubrey, both who could barely stand each other's presence. 'Chloe, I cant stand that uptight, bossy blonde!' Beca exclaimed. 'It's bad enough I deal with her during long lectures. Why does she have to take the same elective as me?' Chloe rolled her eyes, she wished her two best friends would just manage a conversation without arguing on the littlest things. Chloe knew Aubrey, she put on a straightforward, rule-following facade but really, she was a big ol' softie. 'Aubrey's not horrible, ya know?' Chloe stepped closer to the brunette who was just laying on the bed, arms and legs spread out. 'You just need to know her Miss Mitchell.' Chloe pointed out as if it was the easiest thing ever. Beca groaned by the thought of being one on one in a place with the annoying blonde who had a stick so far up her ass, how would that work anyway? Beca hated to admit it but she had imagined so many scenarios of Aubrey being with her romantically, she was pretty, smart, ambitious, the list went on. It wasn't anything, just her heart and mind playing tricks on her, god forbid if Aubrey knew, she'd be dead in seconds. So why would her eyes always direct towards Aubrey? Beca quickly shook her thoughts away to avoid any Chloe Beale questions, because it would just end with her spilling the whole secret. 'So what? You want me and Aubrey to hang out somewhere, pretend we've never fought?' What came out as a joke made Chloe Beale act on that idea.
