I didn't tell Odessa who the secret man was, and I also hid his company logo from her. Somethings were always meant to keep hidden, and it is best if it's just my cousin alone who knows all that is going on. For now.

Sure, his intentions may be clear based off the letter and gifts, but I'm a different person than many others out there.

I love the truth.

I love to overthink when I'm unaware of knowledge on somethings, and that's why I'm walking into Ralph's Corps needing answers. Even with all the roses and gifts in my hand. Unfortunately, I don't own a car since I need to afford rent and bills, so bringing it everywhere is my only choice.

Thankfully, it's in walking distance. A long distance and my feet hurt.

The lady at the front desk smiled when she saw me, probably remembering how I walked in here yesterday.

She greeted me first, passing me a visitors pass but hearing that I'm here to meet the boss she was shocked.

"That's new." She mumbled but I heard, handing me a VIP pass while her eyes widen upon looking on the computer screen. "Your name is on his list of special visitors. His PA is aware and will be here in a few seconds to escort you to his floor."

"Thank you." Was all I said, writing my signature and time on the guest book before putting the gifts back in my hands.

It wasn't long before his personal assistant came and introduced himself as Noel Drummer. An on the way up in the elevator, I've yawned twice. Feeling both hungry and tried, hoping to get this over with so I can go home before it's dark out.

"Tired?" He asked.

"It's been a long day." I responded, and he nods.

Reaching the top floor, I eyed the interior with white and gold accents. Following Noel who took me pass a few employees and brought me to a door with a gold nameplate on it. Ralph Coo, Reinaldo Ralph.

He knocked and the door opened automatically.

"He is expecting you, you may go in." Noel said, leaving me to head back to work.

I eyed the door before stepping in, carefully to watch my step. Especially with the tall heels that I'm wearing.

Entering, it closed behind me and I'm left in a room that smells strongly of the man I bumped into yesterday. With a faint hint of strong liquor.

My eyes casted away from the dark interior to the being standing at his desk, staring at me. Eyeing me from head to toe with his mouth slightly opened.

I gulp, then cleared my throat.

"Good afternoon, Mister Ralph." I greeted, stepping closer to him.

"Good afternoon, Miss Moore. It's a pleasant surprise that you're here." He smiled.

I was a bit embarrassed, so I put the things on his desk and shook his hand. My actions by putting them there confused him by the look on his face.

"Sorry for coming by unannounced, and Thank you for the gifts and the flowers. I love them." I smiled as well, then let go of his hand due to nervousness. "Sorry, I'm just a little nervous."

"It's okay." He breathes. "I'm glad you love them."

I nod, then he points to the closest empty chair facing his desk. "Thanks."

"No problem." Then he got seated as well.

To clear his desk, I move my gifts to the other empty chair and he watches me do all this.
