"No!" Richard cut in.
"But he's my boyfriend!" Stella argued . "And that's my mom."
"Your father doesn't want you in it. And that's how it's gonna be."
"Fine I'll just get Aunt ash." Stella said and Richard stopped and looked at her. She had those eyes raven had when she knew she could get under his skin.
"You're dead wrong for this shit. "
"I know.  That's why you love me. " Stella answered being devious.  "Now what can I do to help?" Stella asked following him.
"Find out what he's planning to put the business and put the contract in a safe place. Can you do that ?"
"Easy as saying my name. " Stella said with a chuckle.  Richard saw her face go back to this gentle girl therus and page raised.
"Why are you interfering. "
"Because I feel responsible.  I love my mama and Pierce....I wanna protect them like they always do for me.  Wouldn't you do it for your mom?' Stella asked Richard and he remembered his mother before kalice. She was kind and beautiful.  And she treated his father and sister and him with such love and care.  Stella then saw him cry a tear.
"I would . If I got that chance again. " he whispered and Stella nodded.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." Stella said with such sincerity.
"Forget it." Richard left and Stella went home.

Stella stayed away from Richard being sad he was angry.  She pretended to not listen to the adult's talk about the situation.  Richard sat by her.
"Hey.....I wanna say sorry about earlier.  I haven't all together forgiven that guy. I wish I could've done something but I was only 5." Richard said and Stella nodded.  She held his hand.
"I get it. I remember when mom got locked up I was upset I couldn't do anything but Pierce helped me calm down. " Stella replied.  "I won't bud in....but I hate doing nothing. "
"I know. Sometimes doing nothing is doing everything. " Richard said before leaving  . Stella wrote that in her journal and she went to see Pierce. Lewis picked her up and she looked at Lewis.
"You should smile more.  How's any girl gonna see how good looking you are out of your brothers if you keep looking like you wanna kill somebody?" Stella asked.
"She should like me for me."
"So you lie and pretend you can't smile?" Stella asked cleverly.  "Weird strategy ."
"Are you always this talkative?"
"Not in school. "
"....why not?"
"Don't trust them and they don't like Me. Nerds don't exactly get the good side of the society. " Stella answered.  "What about you?" Stella asked .
"I used to talk alot......that's until I lost my mom and dad."
"Dad?"
"He's not the guy we used to know. I see him coming back slowly though.  He was playing his old record's.  I know he was thinking about mama." Lewis answered and Stella nodded.  They began to chat a lot more and Stella told him the deal with the drama in here family tied in with his.
"Your uncle is making sense and you were dead wrong for doing that gaslighting shit."
"I apologized. " Stella defended . "I really did . I didn't mean to make him mad. I just want to do something important. I guess that makes me selfish....." Stella thought.
"It does but everyone gets selfish sometimes it doesn't make you a bad person.  Unless you make it a habit and stop caring. "  Lewis said and Stella texted that in her notepad.
"Taking notes?"
"Yeah I'm gonna graduate soon so might as well get those life lessons on stand by. " Stella said.
"That's a good thing. " Lewis said arriving at their house. Lewis saw her stop and she pushed him out the way as the gunshots went off.
"Sorry tuition. " Stella said and they ran inside locking the doors.  Cage was listening to rnb singing while cooking dinner. Stella looked at him.
"You can cook?"
"Better than your mom." Cage said and the two started arguing playfully.  Lewis was staring at her she reminded him of his mother. He hoped to find a considerable girl like her.
"Lewis come on and help with setting the table lazy butt." Stella retorted getting the plates.
"Yeah bum." Cage chimed. They set the table and Stella waited for Pierce to come back from the hospital today.  Garrett arrived with their father.  Stella ran to Pierce and the couple hugged tightly.  She then filled him in on what went down as usual. Pierce enjoyed her sitting on his lap as he rolled to the table. Stella felt his kiss on her neck making her blush.
"Okay say grace somebody. " cage said.
"How about stella." Lewis said and everyone stared at her.
"Really. " Stella groaned looking at Lewis.
"She's out guest boys she should decide. " their father said gently.  Stella then said she'd do it .
"Dear God.  Bless this wonderful dinner and this wonderful family.  Please protect them and bless those who don't have food with food and those with no clothes and shelter with clothes and shelter.  Amen." Stella finished and they all said amen.
"Where did you learn to pray like that young lady?"
"My daddy and my big brother.  They can pray a powerful prayer." Stella answered eating and she nodded. "This is really good cage."
"Why thank you sis. I'm glad someone admits my cooking is good."
"Can you bake?"
"Nope." They all said.
"I got you. I can bake anything. " Stella said.

Pierce was asleep with Stella napping beside him after playing uno with him.
"What do you think about her?" Lewis asked his father.
"She's a good one  . Very good one.  That's why he's gotta get out of here before he takes her down like I did your mama. She's a loyal one too."
"Yup.....she sure is."
