Solayne's POV
*Sometimes home isn't 4 walls, it's 2 eyes and a heart beat.*

As I descended the stairs, I saw him seated on the couch, his eyes locking onto mine. He scanned me from head to toe, his gaze lingering on my dress.

"You're going out," he states the obvious and I hum in return

"You're going out," he states the obvious and I hum in return.

His gaze intensifies, focusing on the length of my dress, and I felt a flush rise.

Nerissa creeps from under the table, using my legs for support. She stands, tugging on the hem of my dress, and I take her into my arms. Showering her small face with kisses, she giggles, having grown fond of these affectionate moments over the past few days.

Whenever she sees or hears my voice, she makes a beeline for me, eager to snuggle up against my face. I exchange a knowing glance with her father, noticing his wistful gaze.

'He wishes that was him,' I chuckle to myself, placing her back on the floor as I prepare to leave. I have to pick up Myra soon.

As I step behind him, I gently tilt his head back and brush a soft kiss on his lips. But instead of pulling away, his hands grasp my neck, drawing me back down. Our lips move in sync, savoring the intimate moment.

I break away, my neck beginning to ache, and he adjusts himself on the couch, pulling me close by the waist. I gaze into his warm eyes, running my fingers through his freshly cut hair. A mischievous thought crosses my mind, and I blush sheepishly, aware of my own desires.

"I won't take long," I promise, noticing his clingy behavior. I hadn't realized he was that affectionate.

His grip loosens around me as Neriissa wedges herself between his legs, struggling to stand. She's at that adorable stage where she needs support to balance, strengthening her tiny legs.

I just hope she stays around long enough for me to capture her first steps.

Lifting Neriissa into his arms, he releases me completely, and I instantly miss his touch.

"Just don't bend over in that outfit if you want us to stay cool," he teases, snickering loudly, I ignore his playful warning, knowing I'm going to be doing all that and much more, I plan to fully let loose tonight.

"I haven't had a chance to make a spare key yet," he adds, handing me his only set. Shaking my head, I gently push his hand.

"No need, I'm sure you'll be awake when I get back." He hardly sleeps anyways. I honestly don't know how he does it or what exactly is bothering him, but I won't press the issue, he will eventually talk to me on his own terms.

After picking up Myra, we arrive at the club in no time, eager to kick-start our night. As we push through the crowd, she grasps my hand firmly, ordering four tequila shots to get us started.
