Buster was in the middle of making a statue from the sticks left over from popsicles, when he got interrupted by a phone call.
He quickly checked the caller ID, only based on that he deemed whether he'd answer or not. A smile crept onto his face once he saw it was Fang, always eager to talk to him.
"Hey man, what's up?" He asked once he picked up. "Dude, look out the window, it's snowing!!" The excited voice could be heard from the other end of the line.
"Yeah, what about it?" He put the phone on speaker mode and continued to glue the sticks together. "Aren't you excited?? It seems to be snowing pretty hard, if it's enough maybe you'd wanna go out and have a snow battle later?" The smile was almost audible.
He thought for a second, trying to remember whether he had any plans for that day. "Sure man, always happy to! What time works for you?" He asked once he decided that he wasn't busy.
"Ah, I was thinking we could meet up in the city centre first, maybe like 2PM?" "Sure dude, see you!!" Buster told him, then hung up his phone. He had about three hours, not counting the bus drive.
He decided to try and do something more with the statue, but in a way that it would leave him enough time to get ready. You could tell the boredom was taking over him, he already made four of these, producing them non stop like a lunatic.
After an hour had passed he decided to try and put it away in a way that it wouldn't get destroyed. He stood up from his desk chair and went to the bathroom to freshen up a bit.
He brushed his teeth and hair, that was about it. He checked the weather, most importantly the temperature so he could dress up accordingly.
It was a positive surprise to see -8c, since before the trip the most you could count on was about 5. He was actually pretty saddened noticing how much time he still got left, he wanted to meet up with his friend as soon as possible.
He decided to get dressed and go out, thinking that he'll just wait for him at the place. He threw a bottle along with his wallet into his backpack and put it on his back, then went down the stairs.
He was pretty happy with the fact that he could wear his beloved bovver boots, taking his time to tie the long laces. He quickly got his keys out and closed the door behind him.
With the frequency his mother was out of town for work he practically lived alone, seeing her maybe for one day a week. She defended herself saying that she's earning money for him, and he's also teaching himself how to be responsible and stuff like that.
He thought about which bus stop he wanted to go from, each one offering different routes. He decided to go to the one that was further, hoping it would make the time pass a little.
The coat and layers of clothing he put himself still couldn't protect his face from the stinging cold, making him grateful for the pair of tissues that were lying around his backpack.
He wandered with his hand around his pockets, looking for his headphones only to realize he left them home. It seemed to him as if suddenly this walk became extremely more mundane, but he tried to cheer himself up with the fact he was meeting up with the chinese.
After about fifteen minutes he reached the stop, and took the seat on the bench since nobody else did. He took his phone out and decided to text Fang and ask him whether maybe he was already on his way, opening the possibility to wait for him less.
It turns out that he just left his home, so it would take them about the same amount of time to get to the place they wanted to meet up at. He felt in luck that the both of them just straight up decided to leave early even though they had time, maybe they missed each other (day 3 no meeting up😭😭🐺🐺).
