Based on this picture (https://x.com/Mirang_ziyu/status/1794344844837732451) and chat between some fellow Zestmilla fans: TaneMa123, Coallise. Ponychick and myself. There will be some changes and more details added, and I may not have included everything we've said, but for the most part the same. I'll have parentheses by who wrote what.

Carmilla sat on the edge of the roof watching the sunset over the horizons of Hell, holding onto a small photograph.

The photograph in question was of her dearest and longest friend, Zestial. It was a picture her beloved daughter Clara, had taken on hers and Zestial outing to a new bakery. Clara had attempted to get a picture of her and Zestial together, but Zestial was too close once again.

Carmilla chuckled, as she recalled the memory of getting the photo.

Carmilla along with her oldest, Odette were reading the living room of their cozy home. The room was light and warmed with the aid of the blazing fire Carmilla had set earlier that evening. Odette was laying down with her head in Carmilla's lap, reading her own book as Carmilla ran her fingers through her loose hair. Carmilla hummed, turning the page of her own book resting on the armchair when she heard the familiar sound of Clara's keys in the front door.

Her other baby was home.

She placed her worn out book mark in the pages of her book as Clara came in holding three photographs and a bag from a bakery she did not recognize.

"Hello mi hija," Carmilla said.

"Hi mama," Clara said, smiling wide.

Clara walked closer, placing her bag on the table, kissing Carmilla on the cheek, poking her sister's shoulder. Odette smiled, waving her hand off her shoulder, chuckling. "What's in the bag?"

Clara smiled. "Sweets from a new bakery, I was on my way visiting them from hanging out with Max, and brought home some cookies. I bumped into Dad on the way there."

Carmilla smiled. She loved that her girls saw Zestial as a father figure. The fact he loved and cherished them as she did, helped her fall in love with him.

"And how is Zestial?" Carmilla asked her youngest.

"He's good, he also heard of the bakery and was making his way there too, that's why I bumped into him."

"And the photos are of you and Father?" Odette asked.

Clara's smile, if possible, grew in size. She also began to chuckle as she handed one photo to both her sister and mother. "Nope, Dad got too close to the lens again."

Carmilla looked at the photo, laughing softly. Zestial had a wide smile on his face and traces of cookie crumbs on his cheek, telling her that his sweet tooth was satisfied with his favorite snake. There was a small trace of Clara's curly hair in her bun and her horns. Zestial always leaned too close to the camera, not having them when he was alive.

Clara told more of the story, as she passed out the snacks she had gotten them. Carrot cake for Carmilla and double chocolate cake for herself and Odette.

Carmilla placed a kiss on the photo, before lowering to her lap continuing to watch the sunset. A deep chuckle close to her ear made her shiver. She turned her head only to come face to face with Zestial. Her face heated up as a blush formed on her cheeks once she realized they were nose to nose with one another. She leaned back onto her left hand, placing her right hand and photo on her chest.

"Z-Zestial!" Carmilla gasped.

Zestial chuckled deeply as he sat next to Carmilla. (Tanema123) "What troubles thee, my friend?"
