Popping the Question

Selenes POV

I make it to my apartment and go straight to my room to pack extra clothes. Jordyn asking me to spend the night is honestly so cute. I hear the front door close. "Rina?!" I call out.

"Yes?" She says walking in my room. She sees me packing and eyes me weird. "Ok look i know we have our disagreements sometimes but it's all out of love." She says frantically.

I raise my eyebrow at her and smile. "What are you talking about?"

Her eyes go wide. "Selene you're literally packing."

I laugh and nod. "Yes because Jordyn asked me to spend the night today and I need clothes for tomorrow."

"So you're not moving out?" I shake my head no. She takes a breath. "Thank god." She sits on the bed more relaxed. "So todays the day huh?" She says nonchalantly.

"What day?"

She gives me a bored look and then shakes it off. "Oh nothing. Don't worry about it. I'll order pizza. And you let me know how everything goes." She says and walks out. Weird.

I finish packing and head out after texting Jordyn that im on my way. "Ok I'm leaving. We will be going out this Friday right?" I ask Rina.

"We better, I need a break." She groans on the couch. "Have a good night."

I smile. "You too." I get in my car and head to Jordyn's with a smile on my face. What's today?

I make it to her place and head to the penthouse. Knock knock. I hear a faint 'I'm coming.' And smile at the sound of her voice.

She opens the door with a bright smile on her face. "Ciao, bella." She breathes out.

I smile. "Hi handsome." She smiles at the compliment and I take her in. She's wearing a white button up with the top buttons undone, her silver pendant hanging from her neck, with her shirt tucked into black dress pants and black dress shoes and silver rings on her hands. "Why are you all dressed up?" I ask her.

She doesn't say anything but smile. I love and hate when she does that. "Come in, per favore." She says opening the door more.

My eyes widen at the sight of her apartment. "Jordyn?" I ask but she takes my bag and sets it down by the door and takes my hand to the dining room where there's a candle lit dinner of shrimp pasta and garlic bread and wine. I look at her and she's already looking at me with adoration. She pulls out my chair to let me sit and then sits in front of me. I continue to look around since she hasn't said anything. There's rose pedals all over the floor from the door to the dining room, slow r&b music playing softly, and snacks set up in the living room with Disney Plus set up because I told her I loved Disney. I look back at her. "Jordyn what is all this?" I refer to the house.

She clears her throat. "I wanted to do something special for you tonight. So I asked Jason to help me set it up. He's not here. He's giving us our privacy." She says nervously.

"Baby this is so sweet. I would've changed if I knew though. I'm still in my school outfit." I whine.

She chuckles. "You look absolutely beautiful in no matter what you wear, amore mio." She says. "Please eat, it just came off the stove."

I nod and indulge in her food. "Mm baby. This is so good." She blushes. "Why aren't you a professional chef?" I ask.

She shrugs. "I like cooking for me and the people I care about, not strangers." She says honestly.

I nod. "Well I'm glad I can keep you all to myself." We finish our food talking about our days and random things.

"I actually would love that." She says softly after we finish talking and made our way to the living room to watch Tangled and I look at her curiously.
