Megan~

Normani and Megan were currently cuddled up on the couch, enjoying one another's company. They had turned on a movie to watch but the movie ended up watching them when they turned it into a make out session. The two were having a lazy day while both of the girls are at school. Though they never intended on their relationship taking this deep of a turn, they decided to enjoy it and not ruin it with talk about what they were or what would come next. With time, they'd figure everything out.

"Does it bother you that we're technically sneaking behind the girls' back?" Normani looked up at Megan.

"No. Do you think we should tell them?"

"Maybe not yet. It's been so peaceful without them knowing anything. Right now, it looks like we're just going on dates and getting to know each other."

"Except we're also squeezing in sex and cuddles when we can." Megan raised an eyebrow

"Sounds like a pretty healthy start to a new relationship to me."

Megan playfully rolled her eyes and kissed the top of Normani's head. It was fair to say Megan was surprised by how quickly they were adjusting to one another. All this time she thought she wouldn't have been able to move on, but clearly can. There would always be a mere thought in the back of her mind on whether or not she was truly making the right decision for herself, but in this moment, she was content on what she had going on with Normani. The more dates they went on and the more time they spent with one another made Megan feel as if she had found her bestfriend again. It would only be a matter of time before they were both ready to make things official, but one step at a time was their motto.

The feeling was mutual for Normani. She was nervous moving into things, especially with them having sex so early on. Normani had fully prepared herself to enter an awkward stage with Megan, or for the woman to feel guilty and regret what happened. Instead, she was met with the complete opposite. Megan had embraced her and kept moving with their friendship. There was no awkwardness and they were continuously going on dates, getting to know one another more which Normani wholeheartedly enjoyed.

"What do you and Chance usually do for the holidays?"

"Umm, sometimes we go and visit my family in Houston. Most times, it's just us alone. Why? What do you and Akira do?"

"I-I'm actually not sure. This'll be the first year without Beyoncé so I don't know how she feels about doing the things we usually do."

Normani sat up and turned to face Megan. "Best advice?" Megan nodded, ready to listen to what the woman had to say. "Don't force anything. Naturally, she's going to seem closed off but don't push her. Let her come to you and if she wants to continue celebrating, by all means, do it."

"I hate the waiting game. I like to plan in advance but I'm not sure where her head will be today, tomorrow, or next week. She'll say one thing now and then switch it up on me when the time comes. I remember her telling her grandmother we'd come visit Houston like we normally do for Thanksgiving, but then she told me she didn't want to."

Confusion washed over Normani's face and her eyes glanced in every corner of the room as question marks flew over her face. Megan knitted her eyebrows and stared at the woman, wondering what she were thinking about. "What?"

"You guys visit Houston on the regular?"

"I wouldn't say on the regular but Holiday's, yes. Beyoncé's mother and sister are still there."

"Yeah I-I gathered that but—." Normani paused. She wanted to keep what Akira told her a secret simply because the girl asked her to. She'd like to be someone Akira could be able to confide in when she couldn't with her mother, but this seemed to be a matter that needed to be discussed. "A-Akira stated that you guys didn't visit at all because of her father."
