Napangisi si Danny. "Hopefully! They should win this game kasi if ever na matalo sila, it wouldn't be good for their track record. Previous years, banat na banat ang mga player natin, pero ngayon. . . Parang kinulang sa mga practice."
"I don't think kinulang. . ."
"I will have to agree with Cory there," sabat ni Delta sa tabi ko. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself, but listen to your conversation. I think they were just trying to get in the game. I don't know how basketball works. I haven't watched a whole game in my entire life, but I've seen some friends play. I think they were getting into it and I hope they could pull it off."
"Thanks for backing me up, Delta." Ngiti ko pa. "Ewan ko ba sa 'yo, girl."
Inirapan naman ako nito. "E 'di magsama kayong dalawa? Kawalan?"
"Girl?! Kung hindi ka nalibre ng ticket, hindi ka naman makakapasok dito," matinding balik ko. Napanguso naman siya. "Good thing magkaibigan tayo. Ayan, may free ticket ka at VIP pa."
"I think I'm lucky that I get to work with your boyfriend, Cory," ani Delta. "I was so surprised he got to offer me some free tickets. I accepted it dahil wala naman akong any schedule today so I was able to come, pero kung may iba akong lakad, I might not be able to go. Kaya nga iyon ang dahilan ko kay Derek na hindi ako makakapunta."
I winced. Hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot sa kanya.
"Anyway, you're both good, right?" Napakunot ang noo ko sa tanong niya. "Well, he messaged me the other day to give you a call because you were accusing him that we've done some nude photoshoot—which we clearly did not. I have to clarify that. But I wasn't able to do it right away. I wasn't on my phone then he said, "Don't mind his previous message so I didn't bother reaching out to you."
Mas lalo akong napangiwi dahil hindi ko inaasahan na babanggitin niya 'yon. "I'm sorry, Delta."
Natawa naman ito saka umiling-iling. "No, it's fine. I understand, but to be honest, I wouldn't dare do a nude photoshoot. I've been offered before even though the money was great, I didn't accept any of them because it doesn't suit me. I don't like it."
"Though it's okay for you to do some underwear or lingerie shoots?" tanong ni Danny.
Confident na tumango si Delta. "Yeah, it doesn't bother me. It's totally fine for me to do those. That's the only extent I could do and expose my skin. I wouldn't dare show my boobs right in front of anyone." She shivered at the thought of it.
"Wait. . . Tama ba ang nakikita ko?" Napatingin ako kay Danny at nang tingnan ko kung saan ito nakatitig ay doon ko lang na-realize kung sino 'yon. "Taray ni ate mo Zara, nasa VIP din. Baka naman may nagbigay rin ng ticket sa kanya, 'no?"
