SPRING IN YIHE has always been pleasant and it is the best season where everyone would be going for outings or picnics to enjoy the beautiful spring season with their near&dear ones but not for the working adults and students who have to perform their task for the upcoming exams or presentation which NINGYI was one of them ; scribbling hard on the ipad but after few seconds, she'd erase it again before drawing a little doodle here and there but, the eraser cycle repeats itself.

Ningyi had to finish the looks of a new hero for a game the company recently developed which was receiving attention from the citizens and were asking for new costumes or new skins ──── exactly what Ningyi was working on but nothing seems to be going in her way.

The new hero was named as "Yun" which means "clouds" and it was supposed to act as the healer and a support for the other teammates. His fits and looks weren't giving Ningyi the happiness or satisfaction even after a week of making several drafts.

She kept down the pen and let out a huge sigh as she reach out for her water bottle and took a sip of the lukewarm water. Her senior worker who was beside her could see the younger ones facial expressions which clearly shows how tired and frustrated she was, the furrowed eyebrows with jaw clenched.

"Xiao-Yi, you've been sitting there for almost 4 hours. Go and get some fresh air, if the manager ask about you then I'll inform him. You really need to touch some grass or inhale fresh air"

Ningyi knew that if she stayed inside and continue with the art, she'd probably cry out in frustration so rather than embarrassing herself, she stood up after thanking the senior worker and quickly made her way towards the office resting area. She made herself a cup of instant coffee and went to the rooftop as she can feel the coffee working it's magic in her.

The moment she stepped outside, the fresh air slowly hits her and it sent chills all over her body but it was rather comforting to Ningyi who has been frustrated for the whole day from the pressure and lack of inspiration.

No one was at the rooftop since it was working hours and everyone were in their own department working with the task assigned to them.

"Lan Ningyi, you're useless"

She massage her own forehead and stretched herself as if she hasn't stretch out in ages. As she was busy stretching out and complaining to herself, a small laugh interrupted her complaining session.

Ningyi abruptly stopped complaining to herself before turning around to find a particular person walking towards her direction.

Oh no !

The man dressed in a polo button down black shirt paired with a matching black pants, holding a cup of coffee was walking towards her with a smile on his face.

"Miss Lan, you should not talk about yourself like that. You are doing so well"

Ningyi's face flushed hard and immediately gave a small bow to the guy who interrupted her, standing beside her "Hello Boss... I didn't notice you"

The "boss" chuckled and took a sip of his coffee as his view focused on the scenery in front of him which was a bustling city with a clear blue sky, the temperature not so hot neither cold but Ningyi? She was definitely feeling extremely hot as her cheeks were flushed from embarrassment.

"It's okay, you can call me Jiaxu-ge. Everyone calls me by my name ──── except you, Lan Ningyi"

JIAXU's attention went towards the girl beside him whose gaze was somewhere around the building but not on the man beside her. He could see the flushed cheeks and the tip of her ears painted in a shade of soft pink while Ningyi became so shy and couldn't speak much. How can someone expect to be so calm and collected in front of their boss? let alone him being the person whom she secretly admired and dreamed about?

Ever since Ningyi joined the company after passing the interview, she have always admired their boss because he started everything from scratch after leaving his old teammates but he was doing so well and is successful now. She has heard his stories from the senior workers around which made her admire him a little more than she should but, with his kind and gentle actions it was hard to not fall for the man.

Every women in the company adores Jiaxu for his soft spoken personality and his gentleness towards everyone. He even made the employees call him by his name rather than being addressed as the boss because they were a family and he is also one of the youngest.

Everyone calls him as Jiaxu and those younger addressed him as Jiaxu-ge but out of all the employees, Ningyi was the only person who still stick with the title 'Boss Duan' because she wanted herself to get a reality check that she can never be in the same level as her boss and fulfill her leftover dreams.

"I heard that you're having trouble with the new hero's skin. Don't get too frustrated with it and take your time, we can even delay the presentation or the release as long as you're satisfied with your own work"

Jiaxu's soft and gentle comforting voice was like a soothing balm and healing all the frustration that Ningyi had for the past few hours. The coffee couldn't even work properly like how Jiaxu's words did miracles to her body.

"Thank you Boss. It's just that I am not really sure of what characteristics the new hero should have because the majority of the healers and support already got the same plotline and energy"

Jiaxu listener carefully as he sip his coffee from time to time. It isn't easy to bring a character to life and to be relatable to the players who would be also interacting with the heroes from the games, he understood Ningyi's concern.

He didn't speak anything as the two were filled with silence aside from the sound of them sipping their coffee and the soft wind brushing past them until Jiaxu turned towards Ningyi "I am sure you will do well Xiao-Yi. You've always given your best and I know you would give it with this too but don't overwork yourself"

One thing about Jiaxu is his sweet mouth that can melt someone instantly.

How can someone not like him when he literally have this personality?

He patted Ningyi's head and went inside leaving the rooftop all alone to herself. Another thing about Jiaxu's attitude towards Ningyi is that ─── he treats him like his own sister. He treats every women the same. He is kind and gentle towards everyone but Ningyi, she doesn't want him to see her as his sister, at least.

Despite admiring him secretly for almost a year, she never thought of confessing because of several reasons which mainly consists of her overthinking mind which often gives her a reality check but every time she interacts with him?

She is so in love with him that stars could be seen from her eyes.
