 Legend, as they say, says that first time when arthur sinclair and theodore styles discovered the island they were inseparable. They say the island got named after their childhood best friend ''avalon'' who died because of yellow fever back in 17th century. nobody knows in great detail what happened but after arthur and theo found loyal and tough people to bring to the island forever, to work for them, some kind of misunderstanding arose, and it caused a war between two friends. people chose sides and for years fought against each other, styles and sinclair died and their sons continued to fight but after a year  they made a pact, where both parties could take half of the island and be civil with each other so no more innocent people would die. 

styles and sinclair business was a whole lot of mystery for people, they used to travel non stop collecting stuff from different places and then they discovered an island, which got transitioned into a drug island and drugs were sold from the island without people knowing where it came from. they had connections with everyone. Purgatives, emetics, opium, cinchona bark, camphor, potassium nitrate and mercury were among the most widely used drugs in 1700s, they made a lot of money and started hiring people who would travel around the world to sell the product to rich people and they were warned to never say where they came from. for everyone else ''avalon'' was nonexistent. and if anyone ever even thought about saying anything they'd be tortured and murdered. 

it has been 300 years since then and people still have no idea what ''avalon'' is. The only thing they actually do know about is the quality of the drugs they receive from them. in 2000s cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine were the most used drugs by everyone in the world. people from the island started to travel, saw the world and made changes on their own island so it would look like a modern country.  styles' and sinclairs were billionaires working separately but earning same amount of money.  

The Sinclairs (now existent) family consisted of four people:

 mathew sinclair, the loving father, husband and a great fucking drug dealer. He always tried to be better than his father who treated him like shit and abused him and his mother nonstop. he was a great person inside the house, outside the house he was the most ruthless man on the planet. 

rosemary sinclair, the loving mother and a great fucking cheater, who got married just because of money, which for her was just a show off for everyone who knew her. she was a gorgeous woman who loved her kids and had a stable relationship with her husband.

Iris townes sinclair, the famous femme fatale. not a single soul on the island didn't know about her, she was in every way perfect. the looks, the brain, the skills. took her brains and fighting skills from her father, looks and manipulation privileges from mother. 

timothee sinclair, the smartest and the best hacker in the world. businessman brain, good looks, great sense of humor and the most perfect brother you could ask for. Iris and timothee have always been inseparable. their relationship is something any normal person would be jealous of. they really were best friends.

family of sinclairs was the most respected group of people, the head of the sinclair part of the island, the richest and the most intimidating people to walk the planet. everybody thought highly of them and if they didn't it would end up bad.

The Styles family consisted of three people:

cillian styles, also a great dealer/businessman/serial killer, loved his only son like his power and wealth. cheating husband to a gold hearted wife and a workaholic. nearly never was he home and when he was, he was asleep or reading newspaper next to his son.

Juliet styles, adored her son, fell in love with the wrong man and stayed forever. great fighter and a very educated woman, who had an answer to every situation. she met his husband on one of the missions where the styles' were having trouble with shipping drugs to australia and she made a plan that had the whole island shocked (women being smart in the society was an unexpecting thing since most of them didn't go to schools and married right after turning 18) 

harry styles, the looks, the skills, the brains he was everything anyone could ask for. every single woman was on her knees for him. he was a walking greek god with a soul of lucifer. all the seven deadly sins. just like Iris there was no person on the whole island that didn't know him or about him.

at exactly 23:00 o'clock, on sunday night, in 2000 died two most important people on the island Matthew Nicolaus Sinclair and Juliet Diana Styles. leader of the island automatically became Rosemary sinclair and stayed Cillian Albert Styles.

at exactly 23:00 o'clock, on 11th of march, in 2001 two letters were sent from anonymous sender on the island ,,Avalon''. One letter was received by Cillian Albert Styles and the second letter by Rosemary Hope Sinclair.
