"You weren't the one who lived with him for 2 months, Bhai. You don't know-"Amal tried saying, anxiously, only to be cut off by Raheem.
"You're so right, Amal. I haven't lived with him for two months. I spent more than half of my life with that bastard! I know him more than he knows himself." Amal stared at his confusion, taken aback by the newfound information.
"What do you mean, Bhai?" Amal questioned, confused at her brother's words.
"Nothing important. Take some rest and then we have to go see Nano." Raheem shrugged off as he gave her instructions, before grabbing his coat from the sofa and leaving.
"Here are your- he left?" Rania entered the living room with a tray of juice before she noticed her husband was nowhere near in sight. "You have yours." she forwarded the tray to Amal before sitting on the sofa to accompany her.
"You can go Rania, I was just heading to my room too." Amal said when she saw Rania glancing at the stairway a few times.

"So much happened, when were you deciding on telling us Raheem?" Afzal questioned, raising his voice at his nephew's carelessness.
"I didn't know things would get so messed up." Raheem spoke slowly, looking at the floor in shame.
"Kehta tha tumhari maa se ese khatarnaak khandan se na dosti kro. Ab dekho uska anjaam, khud qabar mein aur beti ki bhi zindagi kharab ho gyi." Afzal said, reminiscing about the time where he constantly told her to not befriend the Ayad family but she persisted.
[I had always refrained your mother from befriending such a dangerous family. Look at its fruits now, she is in her grave and her daughter's life is also a mess.]
Amal stared confused at Afzal's words, she never knew her mother was an ally of Ayads. Was that what her brother was referring to when talking about his knowledge of Khizr's tactics?
It didn't make sense though, from her Father's hatred for them, it seemed as if they've been enemies for generations.
"I'll call Khizr, both of you do not dare say anything to him." Her Nano said, earning frowns from both men.
"Not this again, they're the murderers of your daughter and that man has made your granddaughter's life a hell."Afzal said, each word coated with hatred. Amal could not recall the last time she saw her Mamu talk with such anger and hatred, if any.
"I'm not refraining you from talking to him because I sympathise with him, but I do it for your own safety. You will talk to him in anger and make things worse." Amal looked at her Nano and nodded, agreeing with her idea of being cautious.
"I do not understand why everyone comes to me with their problems if you are adamant on not listening to me." Afzal expressed , getting up from the couch. Raheem shook his head in order to convince him that his accusations are wrong, whereas Nano just rolled her eyes at her son's tantrums.
"You're talking as if Khizr has been waiting for the past few months ke pata nahi kab nano call karengi aur mein yeh sab chodh du. Why? Because nano asked me to do so."
"Khizr hai kon?" Wasey joined the conversation, curiously, after overhearing their conversation. However, he regretted almost immediately when he felt his father glare at him.
[Who is this Khizr anyways?]d
Afzal spoke dryly, irritated at his son's interruption,"Tumhare chache ka beta." Gulping, he looked at Amal with a look that screamed 'what's going on?'.
