"Join us as we celebrate the marriage of Seo Mira and Min Yoongi."
Your wedding day, often described as the most special moment of your life. It was one of your biggest dreams to wear a beautiful wedding gown, your father pridefully guiding you down the aisle, his hand passing you to the man of your dreams, your future husband. But now, that dream was taken away from you.
Your vision of that perfect day was now turned into a reminder of the future pain that you will have to endure for the rest of your life.
You were married into the Min Family.
And you were forced to marry their only son.
The joy and excitement as you walked down the aisle, facing the groom in front of you was now replaced with sorrow. All your expectations of a perfect wedding day vanished the moment you saw the disappointed look on your future husband's face.
The quick, uninterested glance toward you before looking back at his supposed lover sitting in the front row, her eyes filled with tears, made your heart ache.
Not only did you get your dreams taken away, but you were also taking someone else's.
The way he gritted his teeth in resentment as he looked down at his feet, forcing himself to say the words, "I do".
Your wedding day was supposed to be a celebration filled with smiles and laughter from both families as they adoringly watched their son and daughter begin their lives together was now replaced with a heavy, stifling silence. Now, your future is filled with unfulfilled hopes and unspoken resentment.
You wished to kiss the man of your dreams after the chaotic wedding, the two of you laughing and embracing each other for finally achieving your goals. You wished it could have been the happiest day of your life.
But now you were stuck with a man that refuses to even look at you in the eye. What's worst was that you have taken him from someone else. Of course he would be infuriated.
You meant nothing to him.
Your husband didn't speak for the rest of the night. He slept on the couch, letting you have the bed all to yourself. You never expected him to love you in the first place but the reality stung nonetheless. How can you even make it work when his heart already belongs to someone else?
Marriage is not an easy task.
But being married to a complete stranger is an entirely different struggle.
You couldn't bear to live in this situation.
The giant wedding portrait that adorned the scarlet padded walls was nothing more than a facade, a decoration meant to conceal the reality of the couple's relationship.
The bride and the groom stood side by side, their bodies angled inwards as if facing each other. The bride had some sort of a strained smile, her fingers gripping a bouquet of red roses. The groom had a discontent look, his gaze falling away from her as he kept his eyes fixed on the camera, his lips curved downwards.
It wasn't displayed there as a treasured memento, but rather as a way to fool the outsiders.
And it did nothing to prevent the other woman from entering the house as if it were her own.
"Kang Gayeong."
The calling of her name echoed through the halls as your husband approach the beautiful young woman who was waiting for him with open arms, completely disregarding you as you stood in the living room with a breakfast tray in your hands.
Min Gayeong was what she called herself.
Min Yoongi's wife was what she saw herself as.
Min Yoongi's mistress was what everyone saw her as.
Annoying little bitch was what you saw her as.
