Two shots later, if Sooyun was feeling weird before, now she's feeling extraordinary.
Her mind is engrossed in fog, but she feels buzzed and happy. Part of her wants to just get up and dance even though doing that would probably make her fall from lack of balance. Everything around her is hot. Her body is burning up with heat, but Sooyun refuses to take off her hoodie. Jisungs hoodie. That would mean she'd have to give it back to him.
"You're really red Sooyunnie." Her drunk friend tells her, giggling as he pokes her crimson cheeks.
"Yeah, drinking makes people blush." She slurs.
"I just realized, you always blush when you're around me."
Sooyun blinks. "No I don't."
"Yes you do."
"No I don't."
"Yes you do."
"I do, don't I?"
"You do."
"I guess I do." She finally admits, very well aware that it's true.
"Why is that?" Jisung asks, scratching his chin.
"I definitely don't know why that is."
"Is it because I'm super cute?"
Yes.
"No."
"Are you saying I'm not super cute?" The boy pouts in the cutest way possible, and sooyun feels defeated.
"You are super cute."
"You're super cute too."
Sooyun's head falls onto the table.
"Why do you say stuff like that Sungie *hic!*"
"Because it's true."
"All you ever do is lie." Sooyun slurs, her words barely coming out coherently, "You don't like me like that, so you don't get to say those...mmfg..."
Jisung has no answer for her, too drunk to be able to properly argue about how wrong she is. So Sooyun lifts her head from the table with great effort, and raises her hand to trace random patterns in the air with her shot glass.
"I'm thirsty."
Thirsty for me? Jisung almost says, the flirtatious words coming naturally in his drunken state. But he stops himself just in time, remembering her strange words from mere moments ago.
"Wheein-ssi!" Sooyun raises her hand high into the air and calls for the friendly waitress, social anxiety nowhere to be found. "Can we have—*hic!*—oh my gosh did I just hiccup? Heehee."
Wheein giggles at the adorable first-timers. "That tends to be a side effect. What were you saying?"
"Ah yes. Can we get some water? And another shot?"
"Sure. But are you guys sure you're holding up okay?"
"Yeah yeah we're great! Really really good."
Wheein nods skeptically, but still brings their drinks in no time: one shot of green grape, which is Jisung's favorite, and another of peach, which is Sooyuns pick. The pair downs their fourth shots in the blink of an eye, and Sooyun slams her glass onto the table.
"Did you know I can dance? It's true! And I bet I'm even-*hic!*- better than you! No I'm joking. Maybe. You're like the best in the whole wide world. I haven't danced in so long! You're the-*hic!*- gosh that has to stop. Uhm, you're the first person I'm showing Jisungie!!!!"
