Chapter 11

Marvel Sanford POV

I walked into the cafeteria and saw Glimmer. It looked like no one had come to our table yet. I sat down next to her. "Hey Glim." I said. "Hey Marvel." She said, looking up from her phone. I have had a huge crush on Glimmer since middle school. She invited me into the group when I first moved here. She's so nice, and I really want to ask her out. Maybe I will do it right now. "Hey, um, Glimmer, would you want to like go out with me for dinner tonight?" I asked, super nervous. "So like a date?" She asked, surprised. "If you want it to be a date, then sure." I say. "Ok, sure!" She exclaimed happily. I am so excited she said yes! "So I will pick you up at 7. We can go to the Capitol Café." I say. "Ok, I'll be ready then!" She said. Clove came over with Katniss and Johanna, and Finnick and Annie followed behind them. They sat down, and Cato, Peeta, and Gale walked over and sat down, too. We ate lunch and went to our next classes. Mine was with one of my best friends, Cato. "Guess what!" I tell Cato. "What?" He asked. "I landed a date with Glimmer!" I say. "Seriously! Dang Marvel. Good job!" He said, giving me a high five. "She seemed pretty excited about it, so that's good." I say. Our teacher walks in, and we stop talking. I'm so excited for tonight.

Glimmer Belcourt POV

I'm so excited for Marvel and I's date. I have had a huge crush on him since he moved here at the beginning of middle school. I hope he asks me to be his girlfriend. I walk outside and see Marvel in his car (I'm pretending they all can drive). I get into the passenger seat, and he drives to the restaurant. "Hey Glim." He says. "Hi." I say. "Are you excited for our date." He asked. "Yes! It's going to be lots of fun." I say. When we get there, Marvel gets out and opens the door for me. I get out, and he holds out his hand. I glady take it and we walk inside. We get seated at a table and order our food. "Glimmer, you look very pretty today." He says. I blush. "Thanks. You look good, too." I say. "So I have been wanting to ask you this. Will you be my girlfriend." He asks. Yes! He asked me! "Yes, Marvel, I will." I say. We continue to talk, and when our food gets to the table, we eat. When we finish, we walk to his car and drive to my house. We both get out, and he walks me to the front door. "Bye, Glimmer." He says, giving me a kiss on the cheek. I say bye and hug him and walk inside. I walk upstairs to my room, get into my pajamas, and go to sleep.
