It was Friday, October 7th. Mary woke up in her bed. The bright sunshine getting into her eyes. "Ugh.." she moaned as she opened her eyes. She looked at the alarm clock on her bed side table. "Already eight?" She said while sighing. "I guess I should get up" she said as she slowly got out of her bed. Looking at the calendar on her wall it was already the 7th. That meant it was moving day. She rolled her eyes. Not really looking forward to moving houses. She walked to her bathroom to get ready for the day. Her outfit was loose jeans, a striped crop top, and white sneakers. After leaving her bathroom she walked down the hallway into the kitchen. Being greeted by her mom. Samantha. "Good morning hunny" she said with a bright smile. "Yeah good morning" Mary said with a slight smile. Her facial features suddenly changed into an unimpressed look as she saw the moving boxes. Her mom notices the sudden change. "You're going to have to accept that we are moving" her mom said as she continued to make breakfast. "I've accepted it, I just don't like it" she said in a sassy tone. "Sure you did. Oh and can you wake up your dad? We need to hurry and eat so we can go, I've already packed the important stuff" Mary nodded her head and walked to her parents room. She was obviously annoyed that she didn't get to take the stuff she wanted. But she decided not to start a fight. As she opened the door to their room she saw her dad on the bed fast asleep. "Hey dad wake up" she started shaking him. Soon enough her dad woke up. "Why..?" Her dad Phil said groggily. "Mom wants us to go ahead and eat so we can go to the new house quicker" she waited for her dad to get out of bed. They both walked back into the kitchen. Where Samantha was already eating. "You couldn't have even waited for us?" Mary said while getting her toast. "You guys were taking too long" Phil also got his toast and sat down. They all started eating and talking. After about twenty minutes they were done eating. and started putting all the boxes into the car. Mary looked at all the boxes and noticed that none of them said her name on it. "Mom? Why is none of my stuff here?" She said while raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Oh yeah we forgot to tell you. But me and your dad don't think you have anything that important to take with us, y'know we can't fit that much stuff into the new house, but you still have your clothes" Samantha said while getting into the passenger seat. "but i need my phone, and everything else I have" mary said obviously upset. "No back talking young lady" Mary knew it was useless to try and reason with her. One thing about her mom is that she's very stubborn and won't listen to anybody. Mary got into the back seat. And Phil got into the driver's side. He put the keys in and started the car. Mary sadly looked out of the backseat window watching her old house fade into the distance.
