"I need to speak with the both of you," (Y/N) announced the next morning to both L and Light after all three of them had slept in the same bed—she squashed in between the two men who kept arguing over who would be able to hold her more. "And I'm sure you'll want to hear this."

"I'll gladly listen to you speak for hours," L murmured softly as he came up and hugged her from behind, inhaling her scent softly.

Light scowled from where he stood buttoning up his shirt, his eyes darkening.

"That's good since this will likely be a very long discussion," (Y/N) sighed as she sat down opposite the bed where she directed the two men to sit, her brows furrowing when thinking about what would need to happen for a satisfying ending to the plot of Death Note as a whole. "From last evening's events, you know that I have feelings for the both of you. But then again, you dislike each other."

"We both want you," Light frowned as he crossed his arms. "And that's a problem."

"I don't see why it has to be," she shook her head.

"What exactly are you suggesting?" L muttered, his dark eyes narrowing as he bit the cuticle of his thumb, his stare unwavering.

"That I date both of you."

They blinked at her.

Then, a slow and almost haunting chuckle could be heard from Light before it gradually crescendoed into a mad and chaotic sound. He shook his head in disbelief at what (Y/N) was suggesting, finding that once more she humored and amused him in more ways than one. He would never share her with L, no matter what she said and no matter what she threatened. His hubris—his conceited nature that desired to be a god—would never allow himself to stoop as low as to share what he desired with the person he perceived as his enemy.

(Y/N) exhaled softly.

She knew Light would have this reaction once she even offered up the idea.

The Light she perceived before and after he picked up the Death Note was a very different man. She even remembered that the creator of Death Note said that if Ryuk never dropped his notebook and if Light never picked it up, he would've gone on to become one of the best and most respected police officer's of his time—he would even work beside L and together would solve many cases together instead of devolving into what he hated the most: a criminal.

So... how do I get Ryuk's notebook back?

If anything, Light's hid it in the exact same spot as last time now that he has it.

Her eyes widened.

That's it.

"From Light's reaction, his answer is obvious," L suddenly spoke, cutting through her thoughts and making her eyes meet his. "And for once, I agree with him. I would never allow for you to ever be with anyone other than me."

    She blinked.

    What was last night then?

Images upon images of both of the men pleasuring her for several rounds popped up in her mind.

    She exhaled softly.

    Whatever.

    After everything is sorted out...

    It'll be fine.

Deciding not to speak on any more of the topic, all three of them descended the stairs to the main hall where they met with the rest of the Task Force to discuss plans on how to go about finding and tracking down this new Kira. They all acted as they normally did since putting up masks was so usual for them, but every so often, touches and smiles were passed that made the room fizzle with tension.

And as night fell, (Y/N) knew what she had to do.

Walking Light back to his house after Soichiro vouched to stay with L all night going over footage and evidence, along with the fact that Sayu was at a sleepover and Sachiko was tending to other business, she knew that they would have the house all to themselves. Light knew it too, glaring at both Shinigami again to make sure that they would remove themselves from the premises.

    The night was quite eventful.

Not only did Light blindfold (Y/N) and tie her to his bed, but he bruised her body even more with his love bites and the way he sucked on her flesh. Just like before, he was completely dominate, loving the way her body quaked underneath his.

    Her warmth.

    Her touch.

    Her moans.

How he felt inside of her.

Everything about her was intoxicating to him, and he fell drunk under her spell.

(Y/N) now smirked down at him as he slept, her fingers sifting through his hair softly. He looked peaceful—nothing like the Kira persona that he so usually donned. Wrapping herself in his sheets, she then moved towards his desk and grabbed a mechanical pencil before twisting the cap off and removing the lead. Fumbling around the bottom of the top drawer when opening it, she then inserted the lead into the small hole and propped up the fake bottom. And there, just like she had predicted, was Ryuk's Death Note.

"Heh... looks like you found it after all," Ryuk chuckled from the dark corner of Light's room, his form having to slouch since he practically towered over everything.

"Of course I would," (Y/N) smiled as she grabbed it and walked over to him.

    His smile broadened.

"It's been fun working with you Ryuk, but I'm afraid that that time has come to an end," she smiled softly as she touched his arm, having grown fond of the Shinigami as a friend and companion. "I'm sure I'll see you around again, but who knows? Here." She handed him his notebook, then saying, "I officially give up ownership of your Death Note, Ryuk."

"Thanks for giving me some entertainment, kid," Ryuk merely responded as his wings unfurled from his back.

And just like that, he was gone.

"Was that really the right decision?" Rem then spoke up from where she stood, her yellow eye gleaming in the moonlight. "Giving up Ryuk's notebook means that when you give up mine, you will lose all memories associated with the Death Note. Is that what you want?"

"No," (Y/N) shook her head, tapping a finger against her cheek. "But..."

I think I know just what to do.

I think I know just what to do
