Spiral Of Feathers And Talons

Chapter 1

         Humans have since the dawn of time made inventions for their own needs. After many years of human experimentation a large nuclear explosion had wiped most of organic life. Thus leaving a small population of humans, fish, birds and many small mammals such and mice and squirrels. In a remote part of whats left of a forest is a male eagle, hidden away from humans and the horrors they have created. Many of the last humans regard the eagles as an extinct species some humans however still think that there may be more life in the desolate lands than they are led to belive in. 

       Although something not even other biological life knows is that in the same forest there is a female eagle, only a few humans have caught glimpses of the two eagles. Once humans had actually seen the two eagles they had been given names, the female named ThistleFeather and the male named FalconTail. ThistleFeather was perched on a dead tree looking around the wasteland, spotting a unsuspecting mouse she swooped down talons extended as she quickly caught the mouse devouring it hungerilly before flying to another dead tree watching the wasteland below. ThistleFeather had spotted another flying creature in the distance she hesitantly called out to it. As it turned out it was FalconTail, hearing the female eagles call he called back.

      FalconTail flew until he saw ThistleFeather, landing on another dead tree next to the tree ThistleFeather was on. "Hey there!" FalconTail called to ThistleFeather with a slight ruffle of his feathers. "Oh hello..." ThistleFeather called back hesitantly as she raised her wings defensively. "Hey now theres no need for violence" FalconTail chirped as he flew onto the branch next to ThistleFeather. "I didn't think that there was another eagle in this forest" ThistleFeather chirped before preening her feathers. "Yeah i was quite suprised when i heard your call i thought humans had killed the rest in this forest" FalconTail squeaked as he then proceeded to preen his feathers.
