It was a normal early morning. Almost everyone was sleeping, the birds were singing, and a girl was asleep in her car. This girl had messy dark brown hair, black glasses, a bandaid on her nose, and was in her clothes from last night. This girl's name was Lexie. Suddenly her phone went off, releasing annoying beeps.

"Huh? What is it, phone? I was in the middle of a dream..." she grumbled grabbing her phone and shutting off her wake-up alarm. "Why do I have this set so early, anyway?" She asked herself as she put on her glasses. "Oh right, first day of college," she remembered. Lexie was sleeping in her car because she was broke. Her ears perked up. "Hey! Don't spill my personal life, narrator!" She grumbled. Sorry, but that's kinda my whole job.

She got dressed, took deep breaths, and started driving. "Stupid parents, making me go to college..." she muttered under her breath. Meanwhile, just a few minutes away from where she was parked, another girl was sleeping, in an actual bed. She had dark teal hair, stickers on her face, freckles, and her name was Sapphire. She yawned as she waked up, having the best dream ever. She got out of bed, sat down at her desk, and started writing in her diary.

"Dear diary, today I had the best dream ever! I was sitting on a castle balcony, my hair flowing in the wind. I was stuck up there like some sort of Disney princess. Then, a knight got to the base of my castle and shouted.

"Sapphire, Sapphire, let down your hair!" I threw my hair for the knight and they started climbing up. When they got to me, I asked.

"Who are you, my savior?" I took off the knight's helmet to reveal a beautiful girl! She had blonde wavy hair, light blue eyes, and a wondrous smile! Then, I woke up. I hope I have more dreams like this!"  Sapphire jotted down, still thinking of the girl in her dream. She closed her diary, got dressed, and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Hi, honey!" Her mom greeted her, setting a plate of food at Sapphire's place at the table.

"Hey mom! And yes, I know college starts today!" She said, sitting down at her place at the table and eating her pancakes.

"That's the thing, sweetie..." her mom paused. Sapphire looked up, confused. "The college declined you coming." Sapphire dropped her fork.

"NOOOOOOO!" She shouted, not too loud.

"But Rose College accepted! Isn't that great?" Her mom tried to cheer her up. Sapphire thought for a while and didn't answer. She then grabbed her suitcases and backpack, and got in her car.

"Love you, sweetie!" Her mom yelled.

"Love you mom!" Sapphire shouted as she drove to the college.
