Where it all begins...

Its a warm spring day at the north side of Chicago.

The alarm of Kaylas Phone is ringing. It's Friday 6 o'clock. Her last day of school before she is flying to North Carolina. She turned the alarm off and goes downstairs to the kitchen where her mum is waiting for her.

Mum:" Good Morning Sunshine"
Kayla:" morning mum"
Mum:" are you already excidet?"
Kayla:" already? Since the day i knew about this all i'm more excidet than ever!"
Mum:" calm down its all gonna be alright, i made you Coffee"
Kayla:" Naww thanks"
Mum:" There are Bagels in the Fridge if you're hungry, im gonna head to work but i'll just work till 2pm and then we all drive you to the Airport alright?"
Kayla:" okay, see you later, love you"
Mum:" Love you too, enjoy your last day of school"

Kayla drinks her Coffee then she goes upstairs and takes a shower. She is packing the last stuff in her suitcase and saying good bye to everything.

💭„My room were never that clean haha, i'm gonna miss all that stuff but you have an opportunity like that only once in your life"

The doorbell rings, Kayla is rushing downstairs to open, it's Anne, her bestfriend.

Anne:" Morning!!"
Kayla": Goodie!"
Anne:" ready to go?"
Kayla:" just a sec, come in"
Anne:" i'll wait here just take your bag"
Kayla:" okok calm, i'll get it"

Kayla is rushing up the stairs to get her bag, then the two are on their way to school.

When they arrived all of Kaylas friends are having balloons, which are saying stuff like: miss you or have fun.

Kayla:" omg guys, that wasn't really necessary"
Anne:" Of course you are leaving us here while you're having the best year of your life this must be celebrated"

The school bell rings, everybody goes inside their classrooms.

After 4 hours of boring lessons all of them are going home. She is all by herself now and has to wait till her family comes back, so she grabs a soda and enjoys her last two hours at home.

Time flies and Kayla feels a warm hand on her shoulder...

Mom:" Kayla darling ... wake up, its 2pm we want to drive to the airpord now"
Kayla:" i must have fallen asleep, let me grab my luggage"
Mum:" no need for that, your dad already has put everything in the car"
Kayla:" great, then lets go i guess"

They go to the Car where her Dad and her little Brother already waiting for them. The airport is about 45 minutes away.

Dad:" So Kaylie what do you want to do there ?"
Kayla:" So i made up a list with things i want to do, but the top five are, finding new friends, look for a minijob, learning how to sail and surfing, i think one of the guys is playing guitar so eventually learning this as well and perhaps get a boyfriend."
Dad:" One of the Guys what do you mean?"
Mom:" Honey, i told you Clara has two sons and a daughter"
Dad:" Yeah... maybe i wasn't really listening"

During the drive Kayla talks with her parents but she is so excited about North Carolina that she only think about it and how her life is going to be there.

Dad:" Here we are"

After saying good bye to her Family Kayla takes her luggage and goes straight to the Gate, where her flight starts, she is quite late but she made it.

💭"Wow i love it, these Clouds are looking amazing, i cant imagine that just 5 hours ago i was in school and now i am up in the sky towards to a new live"

„Ladies and Gentleman, please fold up your tables and fasten your seatbelts, the landing approach to Wilmington begins."

After all that airport stuff Clara, the bestfriend of Kaylas Mum, is waiting outside in her White SUV. Clara is helping her with her Luggage and while they're driving to the House where she lives, they talk about everything, the two of them know each other very well because since  Kayla is a kid, Clara always visited them with her kids or the other way around.

Clara:" Here we are darling"

Kayla gets out of the car and Sheyla, Claras daughter, is immidiately rushing to Kayla.

Clara:" Sheyla, let her arrive and help with the luggage, also where are the Boys?"

Sheyla:" I don't know, i guess Lucas is under the shower but i really don't know where Mateo is, sorry"

Clara:" ugh i told them to help when Kaylie gets here, i am sorry darling"

Kayla:" No worries, i think we got this, but thanks for the ride"

Clara:" no need to thanks, you are like my daughter, so Sheyla show Kayla her room"

Sheyla:" Come on Kay- "

Kayla:" right behind you"

Kayla been here before, so she knows about everything. There are Boys clothes on the ground and on their way upstairs Sheyla picks them up. One of the doors open up and a muscular dude with only a towel around his waist is coming out of it, Sheyla throws a shirt at him.

Sheyla:" Aw man really Lucas? Put something on!"

With a wink on her Eye Kayla says:" It doesn't bother me at all"

Sheyla hits her a little :" Ew, thats my brother, don't flirt right on front of me!"

Kayla:" than turn around haha"

Lucas:" Omg Kayla, you finally arrived!"

Lucas hugs Kayla

Kayla:" We talk later alright?"

Lucas:" sure"

Kayla and Sheyla going into Kaylas room

Kayla:" Omg it is beautiful!"

Sheyla:" i know, im kind of jealous but you really deserve it"

Kayla:" i almost forget that Lucas has the Character of a golden retiever"

Sheyla:" yeah he is very special, but his heart is made of gold"

Sheyla throws the boys stuff on the bed and helps Kayla unpacking her stuff. After that, they are going downstairs to get Lunch.

Kayla:" Where is your dad Sheyla?"

Sheyla:" He's at work probably till night"

The two of them are sitting down and Kayla sees Mateo, the other Brother, outside with a joint in his hand. She says nothing to Sheyla because she's not sure if anyone should've seen this. But Mateo notices that Kayla is staring at her. He puts out the joint, goes inside and greets Kayla. She stands up and hugs him.

He whispers to her:" You smell very good"

He is going upstairs in his room and Kayla is sitting back on her chair.

💭"that was weird, no boy ever said that to me"

After the Lunch, Kayla goes upstairs in her room and lay down on her bed with the boys clothes on it. it was a pretty rough day so she just fell asleep.
