Chapter 1

Previously on It Started At A Football Game;

i curled up next to Hayes and he whispered soothing words into my ear before i drifted into a deep sleep.

"Lux. Lux wake up."

someone was shaking my shoulder. the voice sounded familiar but not like anyone i remembered.

"Lux wake up. we're leaving for LA today."

i opened my eyes to see a figure, but it wasnt Hayes.

"Hayes? where's hayes? or the rest of the boys? where am i ?" i asked.

"Hayes? who in the world is hayes?" i finally recognized the figure as my dad. he was chuckling a little at my questions.

"Hayes? Taylor and Jacob? where are the boys? where are my babies and the hotel rooms and the screaming girls? where is my brother?" my dad just got up and walked out of my room.

before closing the door he looked back and said. "you dont have a brother Lux.. you never have. now get your back finished and come downstairs. we have 30 minutes before we leave to go to the airport."

i think it finally sunk in that nothing had happened. i was still 15 in my bedroom with One Direction posters on my wall, no wedding ring on my finger, and apparently no brother.. no taylor.

i just sat in my bed crying as it cane to realization that none of it happened. it was all just a dream and a wonderful dream at that..

(Still Lux's POV)

I got up out of my bed about 4 hours later. Within that 4 hours i just sat there and cried. My parents were really confused, but i couldn't tell them exactly about my dream, so i just said i had a really bad nightmare. which was practically the same thing.

i decided to go to LA to find the boys. i needed to at least try to make my dreams into a reality. my parents decided to postpone their trip, since i said i wouldnt go and i needed time to stay with my family in upstate new york.

i packed up my clothes and thought about the dream. everything in my life was different. the entire dream flipped my world upside down.

the dream said i lived in indiana and north carolina, but i live in Freeport, New York.

i'm 15, so my parents are still a little strict on what i do, so that's why i didn't say I'm going to LA.

I drove to the JFK airport and got through security easy. i waited in starbucks for about an hour and a half, then got on my plane.

luckily i had the window seat. i was looking out the window when i saw someone take the seat next to me. he looked about my age, and he had a black beanie and a blue hoodie on with some black joggers. his hair was blonde, and was like justin bieber's old hair. he looked over to me and smiled, woah his eyes are really blue.

"thanks," he said then started chuckling. i looked at him confused, then realized that i said it out loud. i just awkwardly smiled and turned my head to the window.

the plane took off and when i got on my phone i looked through my contacts. i don't know what i was expecting, but i got really upset when i discovered the boys numbers weren't there anymore.

i frowned a little and plugged my headphones in. i turned on my "favorites" playlist and the first song that came on was bluebird, by christina perri.

i started to tear up, but quickly wiped them away before mystery boy saw them.

i laid my head on the window and drifted off to sleep.

i felt someone shaking my arm slightly and my eyes fluttered open.

"hey, the plane's gonna land in like five minutes."

i then realized that my head was rested on his shoulder.

"oh, im sorry" i said to him, he laughed a little.

"it's fine, my name's tyler by the way"

"Lux."

"nice to meet you"

"yeah, you too" i replied.

he smiled at me, then stood up and walked out of the plane. i went over to starbucks and got a green tea then headed over to get a cab.

i'm not exactly sure where i should go, so i just went to the Marriott and decided i would stay there for a couple nights.

i got a room and unpacked my stuff. i assumed i would stay for a while, but luckily i got a really good deal on the room.

i decided i was gonna go to the pool, so i put on my triangl bikini and walked to the pool.

once i got there i put my towel on the chair and went and sat in the hot tub.

i laid my head back and relaxed trying to figure out how i was gonna find the boys. i knew some of them would be in LA since cam and nash had gotten an apartment here.

as i was thinking deeply i heard loud voices coming down the hall, and walk into the pool area.

i opened my eyes and jumped a little when i saw who it was.

it was Cameron, standing there with Nash, Aaron, Wesley, Grayson, Ethan, and Hayes.

i sat there with my mouth open, and then hayes' eyes locked on mine. i sat up straight and smiled. he looked away and started talking to aaron.

greyson saw me and walked up to me.

"hey, im grayson"

"uh hi, im lux"

"nice to meet you, would you like to come hang out with us later tonight? we're going to get pizza then to to a movie."

"sure!"

he then smiled and pulled his phone out of his pocket. he handed it to me. "put your number in so i can give you the details," he said with a smile.

i put in my number then handed him his phone. they all walked out of the pool area, and grayson turned and waved to me before leaving.

getting hayes back is gonna be harder than i thought.

i wont update the book like everyday, maybe just a couple times a week. depending on how much time i have to make the chapters worth while.
