#36: Deceptive Friendship

Megan pretends to be a good friend to Bella, hoping to get closer to her.

"You can trust me, Bella," Megan said with a sweet smile. "I’m really curious about magic."

Bella smiled back, feeling hopeful. "Alright, I’ll show you something special," she said, pulling out the wand from a small wooden box.

Megan’s eyes gleamed as she looked at it. "Wow… it’s even more powerful than I imagined," she thought, hiding her excitement. Secretly, she planned to take it for herself.

That evening, Morena sat with Bella in the kitchen. "I still don’t trust that girl," Morena said. "Something about her feels off."

"Mom, I think she’s changed," Bella replied softly. "She’s been kind lately."

Morena sighed. "Just be careful. Real friends protect, not pretend."

Still, Megan stayed close, smiling and laughing like a real friend. But deep inside, she waited for the perfect moment to steal the wand.

#37: The Theft Attempt

In the middle of the night, Morena and Bella are asleep, Megan crept into Bella’s room, her steps silent. She opened the box and took the wand carefully.

"This is it," she whispered, grabbing it.

"This is mine now," she whispered, raising it with shaky hands.

She tried waving it, speaking strange words, but nothing happened. "Why isn’t it working?" she hissed. She tried many times until it fired and made a noise.

Megan panicked and quickly placed the wand back and escaped through the window.

The next morning, Bella stretched and yawned, never noticing what had happened. She carried on with her day, unaware of the danger.

Morena felt uneasy; she heard the loud noise last night, and it was near the wand box. She checked the wand’s box and frowned. "Something’s not right," she whispered, now more alert.

Megan, frustrated by her failure, becomes even more determined to steal the wand. Megan clenched her fists in frustration. "I’ll learn how to use it soon. I’ll be ready next time."

#38: Friendship Fractures

"You’ve been distant," Ashley said. "Did I do something wrong?"

Bella frowned, "No… not at all."

Megan stood next to Bella, pretending not to listen. Perfect, she thought. Let them fall apart.

Ashley felt jealous of her because she's spending much time with Megan, her bully.

"Why are you with your bully, Megan? She's always insulting you," Ashley said jealously.

Bella replied, "Megan and I are friends now; can you just be happy about it?"

"Why are you forgiving her? Huh? We both know she's a very mean girl in school," Ashley said angrily.

Bella angrily says, "Everyone deserves a chance to change, Ashley! Why can't you forgive a person?"

Bella and Ashley keep arguing about Megan and their friendship.

"Why are you always so suspicious, Ashley?" Bella snapped.

Ashley looked down. "I’m just trying to protect you. Megan isn’t who she says she is."

The tension between them grew, and Megan acted concerned for their friendship, but it's actually part of her plan. Her plan was working.

Bella began to doubt Ashley. "Maybe she’s just jealous," she thought.

Ashley, hurt and confused, stepped away. "Why won’t she believe me?"

Morena saw the change. "Bella, don’t push Ashley away," she said. "She’s a true friend."

"I don’t know what to think anymore," Bella replied, her heart heavy.

Megan kept whispering lies and twisting truths, keeping them apart.

#39: A Mother’s Concern

"Bella, I’m asking you to stay away from Megan," Morena said firmly.

"Why?" Bella asked. "She’s not that bad."

"She’s dangerous," Morena said. "She’s making you forget who your real friends are."

Bella looked torn. "She seems better now. Maybe she’s just misunderstood."

Morena touched Bella’s hand gently. "True friends don’t lie or hurt. Remember that."

Bella nodded slowly, but the doubt remained. She still hoped Megan could change.

Meanwhile, Megan smiled sweetly at Bella the next day, hiding her growing plans.

#40: Deceptive Ties

Megan and Eduardo have a problem with their plan — Morena still doesn't trust Megan. So, Eduardo comes up with a plan to fake-marry Morena in order to get Bella and Megan close together. Then, they will take the wand and leave them.

Eduardo, dressed in a sharp suit, walked into Morena’s life like a dream. "I’ve never met anyone like you," he said warmly.

Morena blushed. "Maybe this is my second chance."

In truth, Eduardo was lying. This fake marriage was part of his and Megan’s plan.

"If I can win over Morena," he thought, "Bella will let her guard down."

Morena’s heart opened up, and she thought maybe Megan was changing too. "Maybe Bella and Megan can be close again," she said.

Bella looked uncertain. "He’s nice, Mom. But something feels strange."

Megan, on the other hand, stayed close and sweet. But her heart was cold, following Eduardo’s schemes.

As Bella stood between her mother’s joy and her own doubts, she didn’t see the trap slowly closing in around her.
