Ship: Gunil x Jungsu

Gunil was quietly laying on his bed, he was admittedly quite surprised when he heard his phone ring. He almost dropped his phone because of how loud the ringing sound was.

He smiled when seeing the contact name, he immediately answered.

"It's been so long since you last called!" He sat up straight and crossed his legs. He heard a light giggle on the line that caused him to blush. "You could've just called hyung!" He replied, still slightly laughing. Anytime they called each other, it seemed like their mood would improve by quite a lot. Even if they were having the best day, a simple call to the other would make it ten times better.

"When are you coming back, I miss you." Jungsu whined, the older boy's heart fluttered as he heard those words. He chuckled before turning on his laptop.

"Soon, I promise." He said, he went on his calendar and searched for any dates where he could go. A smile came on his face when seeing a day without a single thing.

"You said that two days ago, and a week ago, two weeks, three weeks-" Jungsu kept on rambling. Gunil found it cute, he didn't immediately cut him off as he liked just listening to his voice, even if it was complete nonsense. "This time it'll actually be soon, Jungsu!" He made him stop, there were a couple of seconds of silence as Jungsu was trying to find something to say.

"I have something really important to say hyung, I can't tell you over the phone, it's wrong, you know?" He sounded quite sad over the phone, it wasn't his usual bright tone. Gunil frowned, he knew it meant that it was actually something that was important.

"Right, I really will be there soon." He said, he was concentrated on his laptop, he was searching for train tickets. He sounded distracted, and Jungsu definitely caught on to that.

"Do you not want to call?" Jungsu asked, sounding a bit hurt, Gunil felt his heart ache when hearing the tone used. "Jungsu-ah, the thing I hate the most about our calls is ending them, of course I wanna call!" He tried comforting him, besides it was the actual truth. He hated how empty his apartment felt once their long phonecalls had ended.

"Really? Then why did you sound so.. uninterested just a minute ago?" He said, Gunil was pretty sure he was pouting at this current moment, even if he couldn't see him. He felt a light blush cover his face as he thought of it.

"I was busy, I promise I adore calling and talking to you." He replied, he decided to push his laptop away so that he would be fully concentrated on their conversation.

"Mhm.. sure." He replied, he didn't sound fully convinced. But after a couple more seconds of talking he had completely forgotten about it.

Their call lasted a little over two hours, even though it was already quite long they didn't want it to end. But they both had responsibilities.

"Jungsu-ah, I'll see you soon then?" Gunil said with much hesitation, Jungsu knew that he didn't want to end. "Soon? Last time you came over was over half a year."

Gunil and Jungsu had been best friends since childhood, but the younger boy had to move away when he was sixteen. They were only able to see each other biyearly.  He didn't want to admit it, but Gunil had feelings for him. And when thinking about it, he always had feelings for the boy. He had only fully admitted and realised them once he was gone.

Jungsu on the other hand knew he liked him, even when he was too young to even know what homosexuality was. He didn't tell anyone as he thought it meant that he was weird for liking a boy as one. He never had enough confidence to tell him, until now, he didn't want to tell him over the phone as he thought it would feel slightly ingenuine. That's why he was waiting for the next time he could see Gunil to tell him.
