Waves crash outside her old wood window as Ashlin lies in bed, playing with the rough split ends of her tangled blonde hair. A candle burns brightly on a shelf, that in combination with the cool light from the moon makes the room comfortably bright. She ticks through all the things she has to do in the coming day in her head; mending Ms. L's clothes that were just delivered to Ashlin's house yesterday, looking over the garden, and tidying the house. After finishing the list in her head, the sounds of waves and the smell of salt relax her further and further into the comfortable bedding until sleep takes hold.
