I definitely have a special interest; I have a really intense and dedicated passion for writing, literature, reading, books and every other thing that comes under that category. Part of the reason I wrote this book is because I needed a way to communicate my experience as an autistic person and have a reason to write.
I more than just want to be an author when I grow up; I'm destined to and meant to write, and just know it. One day, I'll have published books and stories of my own, and that's one of my biggest dreams in life; to be an author.
I'm always scribbling notes down on all kinds of paper, notepads or books; you can name any kind of paper, I've written on it. I carry a notebook and pen with me, everywhere I go. I have multiple Notes apps on my phone, and constantly use them. I never let anyone else in the house put things on the shopping list because I want to be the one to write it. There are many more of these little "facts", but I can't be bothered listing every little detail, so this is where it stops.
I also learned recently, that handwriting and doodling can be a form of stimming (self-stimulatory behavior). That explains a lot. I now know why I find myself tracing every line on every picture or list - or just anything that can be traced - whenever I feel bored, under-stimulated, or anxious. As weird as this sounds, I sometimes just scribble around on paper like a toddler, purely because it's soothing for me.
