Her POV
"Remember, safety first, okay?"
Today is the opening ceremony of this year's intramurals and I'm here with the Elorde Cheer Squad to do the opening performance.
It was a maroon one-sided long sleeve fitted top with the ECS logo, white pleated short skirt with maroon line design, white ankle-length socks, and a pair of white shoes of mine.
"Let's do it, Elorde Cheer Squad!" Captain screamed as a signal for our starting position.
"Good luck," the vice-captain smiled at me.
I exhaled excitingly yet nervously.
Ito na ang pinapangarap mo, Solis.
We started the performance with a synchronized tuck jump followed by a flip as soon as we heard the beat of the drum.
The flyers did a backflip before we scattered for the next position. Sunod ako, kasama ang apat, na umuna sa linya para gawin ang back handspring step out isa-isa, na parang gumagawa ng wave effect. We did that successfully which hyped the gymnasium.
I was enjoying every second of performing with the cheer squad in front of the audience.
We, the girls, were doing the choreo using pompoms in the background before going to our final position. They formed three pyramids with the captain in the middle.
The squad received an overwhelming applause from the Eloredeans. I wished my grandparents were here to watch me.
"You did great, Solis. Thank you for joining our performance."
Hindi ko 'to makakalimutan," I genuinely said.
He smirked at me convincingly.
"Don't pressure him." The captain elbowed him before looking back at me. "But we're still open to new members."
I chuckled after she winked her eye.
"Ano? Kumusta?" Faye asked me, excited. "Masyado mong ginalingan.
