Every morning brings a new hope in everyone's life. We wake up and hope for the best without knowing what challenges lie ahead or how we'll handle them. We just begin our day, anticipating what awaits us. This was especially true for me on my first day at a new school. As I woke up, the dawn broke, the weather was pleasantly chilly, and a gentle breeze filled the room with a sweet scent. It felt as if some divine force had blessed me, enabling me to take this step of leaving my home in Georgia to pursue higher studies abroad.

I come from a typical family. My father, Mr. Johnas Taylor, is a general manager, and my mother, Miss Robinson, is a software developer. Yes, you read it right—I used "Miss." Despite living 16 years together ,my parents aren't married yet, although they deeply love each other. I often wonder why they haven't tied the knot, but their commitment to each other is evident in every glance they share. Their affectionate gaze assures me of their unwavering support.

"Glair, you always seem lost in your thoughts. I'm your roommate, but I don't know much about you," remarked Daisy, breaking my reverie. Let me introduce you to her. Daisy, true to her name, is strikingly beautiful. She has a perfect figure, fair skin with a touch of redness, and a face that adheres to the golden ratio. Standing at around 173 cm tall, her legs, about 110 cm long, are particularly noteworthy. It's no surprise that people can't take their eyes off her; her beauty is captivating, more alluring than an angel's and as bewitching as Medusa's. But beyond her looks, she's incredibly sweet; bees might as well buzz around her blond hair. She's the most popular and adored girl in our school, and she happens to be my roommate.

"Glair, why aren't you responding? Are you okay? Do you need anything? Would you like some coffee?" Daisy's concern is touching, but at times, her constant attention can be overwhelming. "Daisy, I'm fine. Thank you," I replied, finally breaking my silence.

"Glair, it's your first day at school. Are you planning to be late?" she inquired.

"Oh, no, Daisy. I've never been late to school in my life. You know I value punctuality, don't you?" I assured her.

"Exactly! So, get up, leave your bed, and hurry to get ready. It's your first day, and I've planned a surprise for you. I hope it'll be the perfect welcome gift. Come on, let's see your surprise before heading to school. Hurry up, Glair, please," Daisy urged, her excitement palpable. She's always eager for everything, a complete opposite to me.

I'm all dressed and prepared, with my laptop, the storybook I've been reading lately, my notebooks, copies, and my cell phone. "Glair, are you ready?" Daisy inquired. We set off to see the special gift Daisy had prepared for me, and to my surprise, it was truly mesmerizing. She took me to a place filled with various kinds of flowers. Their scent was divine, as if from another world, and the beauty of the place was breathtaking, much like Daisy's own striking beauty. I was nearly speechless at the sight of the flowers and the entire scene.

"Are you okay? Do you like it? I assume you do, because you usually don't pay attention to things besides your laptop and books," said Daisy. She's genuinely sweet and pretty at the same time. "Yes, you're correct. I liked it. Thank you," I replied. "Oh, Glair, don't mention it," she said, giggling girlishly. Her behavior can be quite irritating at times.

We arrived at school on time, and everyone was settling into their places. As expected, boys are revolving around Daisy, who is divine and sweet, it's no surprise that she attracts attention. Thanks to her, I get the least attention and really enjoy my own space. Despite making it clear that I prefer to stay out of class business, she started introducing me to everyone, enjoying it as if I were a piece of architecture or a precious gem she had discovered and was proud to show off to everyone. I greeted them with the smallest smile I could muster, making it clear that I wasn't too interested in getting involved in conversations.

After a few minutes of chit-chat among the students, the teacher finally arrived. She called out for me to introduce myself to the entire class—another boring task. Thanks to Daisy, they already knew me pretty well, but I still had to go and take a stand in front of the mic. I introduced myself briefly, thinking it was enough for them to get to know me. However, they didn't seem to agree. The teacher asked if any students had questions for me since I was new to the school. This prompted a barrage of questions, which I found ridiculous. By the end of it, I was already tired of them on my first day and wasn't expecting anything good to happen in the coming days. One of the boys asked if I was a robot because I spoke like one, with answers that were just a bundle of words lacking emotion, except for good English. I guess I liked that boy for speaking the truth, but still, it was my choice. When it comes to me, I like being myself.

I thought of ignoring his question because replying to such nonsense felt like a waste of time and energy. However, the class teacher assumed I was being shy, which was an odd conclusion since there was nothing to be shy about. So, I decided to respond. But to my surprise, as soon as I started talking, the boy asked another question, this time in negative interrogative speech, about what I wasn't good at. I was expecting something like this, but I wasn't in the mood to reply, so I ignored him again. Then a girl asked me about my hobbies. I told them I like reading books and other similar activities.

After the interaction I came back to take my seat beside Daisy."It seems like you didn't like the interaction between you and the class. Should I ask them to talk to you more formally?" Daisy asked. She was really considerating about how I feel but I didn't liked it my much .  She scares me , if feel like she is trying to go beneath my skin and was willing to explore me which I particularly disliked a lot."Well, you don't need to go to all that trouble. I'm fine like this, Daisy. Thanks. And yeah, I didn't enjoy the interaction much and would prefer to avoid things like that in the future," I replied.

Daisy looked disheartened by my answer; it was visible on her face. But I really didn't know how to react.
