Hey, my name is Jay Cody, and I'm a superhero named The Jet. During this fight there I was getting beaten down wondering why am I doing this, and why am I risking my life to save these people. Well, let's start from the beginning.

During class, I was sleeping in the back. My teacher Mr. Charles was trying to teach, but when he noticed me sleeping, he called my name. "Jay? Jay. Jay!" said Mr. Charles. I had finally woken up, and this person named Connor, the all-A student at the school, but to every student, especially me, he was a no-good bully throwing a paper ball at my face. "Oh, my bad, I thought you were trash," said Connor. Then he and his two friends laughed. Then everyone started laughing. But Mr. Charles stops the class laughing and starts to speak.

"Now, Jay, can you tell me what we are learning?" "Um, you see," I said. Mr. Charles said, "Yeah, I thought, so stay up and pay attention." Connor turned back around to me and said, "Pay attention, loser." So, then I grabbed the same paper ball he threw at me and threw it at him, but he dodged it, and it hit Mr. Charles. "It was Jay, sir; he got mad and threw that at you. If I were you, sir, I would send him to the office," said Connor.

Mr. Charles picks up the paper ball. "Really, Jay, first, you're sleeping in class and not paying attention. Now you want to throw a paper ball at your teacher. Let's not forget you're failing my class, Jay, but Connor is right. Go to the office directly," he said. Connor looked at me smiling, and I just got up and left the classroom. As I was walking to the office, I noticed my best friend Mason was drinking water. He's an intelligent, laid-back person. He doesn't dress like a geek or a nerd, but he does have the brain of one. I tried to walk past him, but he noticed me as well.

"Yo, Jay, what are you doing walking in the halls, are you supposed to be in class?" he said. "No, I'm walking to the office thanks to Connor, but I don't care anyway. I didn't want to be in his class," I said. "You know you're failing all your classes; you can't be acting like this. How are you going to pass?" said Mason. I said, "Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I know the consequences." I started walking to the office, and Mason followed. Mason said, "Look, buddy, I'm just trying to look out for you, sure I don't know what you are capable of doing in your life or wanting to do, but I know you can be great in life and not a person on the streets." "But what if I want to be a person on the streets? Huh, what then," I said. Mason said, "Well, I guess that's your choice then."

I said, "Exactly, but we're here, so go back to class. I'll see you at lunch." We dabbed each other up and Mason left for class, and I entered the office. After a whole time in the office, it was lunchtime, so I met up with Mason in the hall, and he was getting beat up by Connor. I ran to help, but one of his friends picked me up and slammed me. Everyone was watching and recording it, even the teachers. "Let me go! Stop!" said Mason as he was being held against the locker by Connor. Connor said, "Where's my money, Mason?" Me being held on the floor by one of his friends, I said, "Leave him alone. You see, he doesn't have it!" "I think your boyfriend is trying to stand up for you. (Turns to his friends) Bring him to me," said Connor.

Two of his friends picked me up and brought me to him holding me. I spit in his face. "And thought we were just going to talk," said Connor. He gave me a great punch in the stomach. Then he said, "You got some nerves, Cody." Then he punched me again two times in the stomach, then kicked me, and I collapsed. Mason had gotten tired of seeing me getting beat up, so he said, "Okay, fine, I'll give you the lunch money. Just stop, okay." Connor looked back at him and said, "Oh, now you want to give it to me. What it takes, Mason, to beat up your boyfriend. Well, let's see if you'll give me more." As he went for another kick, a girl named Wendy came in and caught it. Flipped Connor over and grabbed me.
