Life outside the boxing gym saw it's shared of challenges. Mike had a younger sibling, Tayla, a tomboyish teenager dressed in a baggy clothes who embodied raw talent on the basketball court. Tayla, equally passionate about her sports , practiced relentlessly and had a solid friendship with her teammate Sarah, who after came over to their house after school.
"Yo bro, can you come watch my game this Friday?" Tayla asked one afternoon, a hint of hope in her eyes.
"Of course! Just promise to score some points" Mike teased, ruffling her (creamed hair). Their playful banter made the tough days easier, strengthening their bond.
After a school , Tayla often tagged along with her brother to train. With her slicked back hair and hoop earrings, she filled the role of a supportive sister but embodied tye spirit of an athlete herself. As she sat on a bench man spreading in the gym, she watched Zayne, whose prowess in the ring intrigued her.
"Hey, Mikey, that guy Zayne can really bix, can't he?"
"Yeah , but he's still a nuisance" Mike chuckled, although he valued Zaynes resilience and skill.
The pressure of the upcoming fight weighed on both fighters shoulders and mind. Mike decided to post another training video on his Instagram, showcasing his footwork and speed, captioning it. "A champion starts where others give up" Zayne saw the post and felt a spark of annoyance - he was determined to prove he wasn't to be overlooked.
