Mikeyama POV

On our second day of school— not quite right but I suppose technically it was the first day of class— we spent most of the time running over the course objectives. Apparently, many of the students were quite surprised, myself included if not a little disappointed, by how genuinly warm and friendly the teachers at this school looked but for me all this show was a deceived trap made by the teachers. Sudou, the one who most look likely a delinquent was clearly awake and was taking classes like a normal guy. Of course, if we take back his short fuse of anger. Ike and Yamauchi was talking quite loudly and I thought that the teachers would notice, but they showed no signs of doing so. After all, it was up to every individual student whether or not he or she wanted to listen in class. I wondered if this was how teachers typically interacted with students once they left compulsory education. But for me that left two years ago the Junior high curriculum, I will never know if that is true.

I took in the chill atmosphere of the classroom, and soon it was lunchtime. Students stood up and left with their new acquitances, leaving the sight of my vision. The chill atmosphere has continued for like two minutes before I was interrupted by a girl's voice.

"How pathetic." Huh, you're talking to me or to Ayanokoji. If this critic was for Ayanokoji you could've precised, Horikita.

"What? What's pathetic?" Ayanokoji asked to Horikita.

This question wasn't directed to me but to Ayanokoji, even if this question was for Ayanokoji, you could've put his name.

"'I want someone to invite me along. I want to eat with someone!' Your thoughts are like an open book." Well that was actually pretty harsh from Horikita.

"But you're alone, too, aren't you? Haven't you thought the same thing? Or do you intend to spend your three years here without making a single friend excluding Mikeyama?"

"If we exclude Mikeyama, then yes I prefer to be alone" she replied quickly, without hesitation. She's straightforward and frank to Ayanokoji. "Why don't you stop worrying about me and instead think about youself?"

"Well I..." His intention of being social is hesitant but his emotionless face will make things even more ankward for him in a interaction with someone.

As they were banting each other, half of our classmates left the classroom in less than a minute, this is sure impressive. Those who remained either secretly wanted to go, like Ayanokoji who tries to avoid ankwardness with Horikita. There is those who were unconcious of their surroundings, or preferred to be alone, like one more time Horikita.

"Well, I was thinking of heading to the cafeteria. Anyone want to come with me?" Announced Hirata as he stood. He was clearly one of those all-around good guys. Ayanokoji slowly tried to raise his hand but a bunch of girls directly surrounded Hirata.

"I'll go, too!"

"Me, too! Me too!"

"If you don't mind Yousuke, I would be delighted to accompany you." I said to Yousuke, as I walked toward Yousuke a new bunch of girls exclaimed.

"If Mikeyama-kun go, then I'll go too!"

"Yup. Same for me!" Apparently, I was quite popular among the girls like Yousuke. Well, that doesn't bother me to be popular.

"Thank you, Hiroki. You are very much accepted."

"You don't have to say that Yousuke."

"You are too modest of yourself, Hiroki." Well, that's surprising even for me. Too modest of myself, maybe, I don't know.

"You think so. Well, what can I do? I guess this is just a habit that I have." I retorted the statement of Yousuke.

"Does anyone else want to come?" Yousuke looked aroud the room, possibly feeling a bit lonely that I was the sole boy to come with him. Yousuke scanned the classroom, and he met Ayanokoji's eyes. Yousuke didn't avert his eyes to Ayanokoji. Yousuke as I expected you're a kind person who think about the other in his class.
