Quinn
"Whoa... what are you?" Jonathon asked with an exasperated expression.
"Excuse me?" Quinn asked back.
It was the third time someone asked him that question today.
What is up with that?
Miranda took a step forward.
"So, Jonathon, is it okay if you drive the boys back to the B&B with Helen?" she asked. "We just witnessed a terrible fire incident. I think they should get back and relax a little bit. I'm sure they didn't fly all the way across the country to get traumatized."
Keegan snickered. "Oh, trust me, we get traumatized enough even in our own town," he said.
Quinn gave his boyfriend a light grin. He was all for going back and relax after what just went down.
Jonathon looked at Miranda to Keegan and Quinn. "Sure, no problem."
"Actually," Helen interjected, "I think we should get Kylie back to camp first."
Kylie disagreed with a shake of her head. "No, I'm okay. You need to get to work on time."
"And I will," she persisted, "But considering you inhaled so much smoke, the last thing we need is stress your body further. Holiday won't be happy if she found out you put my job before your own well-being, and you know how much she loves you. Not to mention your fiancé, who will have a fit if you didn't get proper treatment."
Kylie looked at Quinn and Keegan. "But we should really get them back to the inn first."
Keegan and Quinn shook their heads.
"Oh, it's not a problem," Keegan said. "We're not on schedule, so we're in no hurry to get back. And Helen is right, you should get some rest."
Kylie pursed her lips.
Miranda held up her index finger. "No more arguing. We're taking you back to camp. But since we only have one car, and I do think punctuality is important when it comes to working, I will call Holiday to ask her to give us a ride so that you guys can get going."
"Are you sure?" Helen asked.
Miranda and Kylie nodded together.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine, and if Holiday is busy, I'll just call Lucas," Kylie insisted.
"And I'll be sure to have Perry at the ready if Lucas is busy," Miranda added.
Jonathon looked from Kylie and Miranda back to his girlfriend. Then he looked at Keegan and Quinn. "What do you think?" he asked.
Keegan shrugged. "I'm cool either way."
Quinn agreed with a nod. "Me, too."
"Okay, let's go, then."
He waved at the car.

They spent the next ten minutes in the car as Jonathon drove them back to Keegan's aunt and uncle's B&B. Quinn opened a window to let the wind chase away the garbage smell that lingered on his clothes. Keegan laid back and dozed off within two minutes–the excitement must have gotten to him. Helen filled her boyfriend in on what transpired when Blue Spekter showed up to save the day. But all Quinn could think about was what happened in the diner. He wasn't sure what really happened, but Kylie was no ordinary human. That much he could tell from her glowing and turning invisible.
But she insisted that she was different from him. So if she wasn't superhuman, then what was she?
The question plagued his mind like a ping-pong ball bouncing around the edges of his mental ball field and nothing came back with no answer.
