November 2013
You were tough to her.
Although you can be handful at times, I would always define you as the sweetest, most loving, and constantly careful of her words and actions kind of person. You treat people with respect and kindness. You love putting yourself on conversations with random people you stand in line with you as you buy us some take outs on fast food chains. You would make these silly faces on babies who are sitting in the grocery carts as their mother busies themselves choosing around the cold section, earning a giggle every now and then that you would gleamingly look at me with your proud face. You are a beautiful soul trapped in a body I would fallen in love regardless of what you would have looked like.
With that said, it has become a shocker to me how rude you were towards Love. You have senselessly responded with eye rolls and heavy sighs at every conversation starters she did. Not to mention how loudly you would purposely mutter the words "annoying" under your breath that everyone on the table could hear. You gave her the cold shoulder and silent stares you have given when she ask about your opinion on things in a way to get to know you more.
After countless encounters of this attitude made me question you what was wrong and you never really opened up. What bothered me the most is that you were nice to everyone else in a certain room or space but her. It went consistently that I myself have concluded that you hated her guts and I never really understood why.
"I can't wait to binge watch Hormones (Thai series) with you. I really needed a break from all those exams. Hooray for sleepovers!"
You cheered as we walk towards my car, your childish actions earns a smile from me.
"Let's go to the supermarket."
"Sure, might as well get some milk tea."
"Yes! Milk tea! Let's go, hurry up!"
She runs away from you and into your car, you press the button to your car keys and she quickly jumped in as you ran after her too.
"Calm down, jeez this girl."
"The quicker we leave this university the better. Now, hurry."
"Okay! Seatbelt first."
I pointed out which she obliged without second thoughts.
We did a quick run to the supermarket to grab some snacks to help us survive for tonight. We were pretty sure this binge watching is going to produce a hungry Milk at every 5 minutes. And drove to the nearest milk tea café to grab a drink.
"Uh, why did you bought 3 milk tea's?" She asks
"I just wanted to?"
You give her this dorky smile that usually makes her stop asking questions. You were quiet for the rest of the drive home, you're listening to her sing like a free spirit running away from everything. The silence of your mouth is contradicted by the beating of your heart as you watch the gates of your home open for the both of you.
"Hurry up, Ciize!"
She jumps out of the car, too excited and in full joy that she doesn't notice another car parked beside yours. She pulls your door open and pull you out too. Her words endlessly pouring out of her lips about the things she is looking forward to do. She pushes the door open and in a snap, her words stop.
