CRUMBLING

CHAPTER 4

The next day turned out really good and while returning I just went back to my old house to bring my letters ,that I left there,because I had not ugraded my post adress .There was a few more steps to my house, from there I noticed a bunch of daisy at my door steep and the first person to cross my mind was Yeong-su. Just at a snap, another thought crossed my mind when I saw the letter box, the letters were hanging out of the letter box, no taxes or loans were left to be paid that so many letters would have been posted that would fill my letter box like anything in just a day. I got reminded of that day when me and my friends had a gathering at my house , as this thought crossed my mind I didn't dare to go further and went back.

Everyone had gathered up at my new house to help me, it was just six pm at the evening. My house my messed up like anything. We first tried to do as much as we could till nine p.m. and then I went downstairs to bring food for us so we could eat. After eating we again continued doing it and  overnight the work was over, everyone feel asleep the moment they fell on the beds .

"Ouch! " I mumbled something in my sleep and realized,Su-nim was sleeping where I was and kicked me of the bed, as I checked my phone, it was morning eleven and I shouted my lungs out, "it's fucking eleven in the morning and I am late, gosh!"

"You jobless shit, you have resigned from you previous job ,now let us sleep" Su-nim shouted .
"Oh right, I am jobless now" as I was trying to crawl up my bed, she kicked me again, there when I fell on my back again, I had to get up and go to the couch to sleep because Su-nim is a great sleeper.

Later that day , we all woke up at one pm , everyone took turns to freshen up , I and Hannie cooked food for everyone and we had it together. We decided to go on a shopping as everyone took a leave that day.

"How is your boyfriend by the way Hannie?" Asked Iisac.
"Yeah, he is doing good, he is going to pick me up... "
Jun-hi slapped Iisac's back, by gesturing her because she saw me sighing when I heard her asking about Hannie's boyfriend.

I missed Yeong-su a lot, apparently I don't know when will I get to meet him the next time. I miss his kisses, his warm hugs, his voice and to be honest I miss everything about him. I can't even meet him, I can't even speak the truth cause I can't remember what had happened. Why did this need to happen with me? I sighed.

After shopping, they dropped me at my house and eventually left but Hannie stayed with me.
"Hannie, hold the things I don't think I can't control anymore" ,I ran to the washroom.

As I came out, I heard the sound of the television, I came to my living room ,I asked her while fixing my shirt's button "Hannie what are you watching? " , as soon as my eyes fell on the television , I paused.

"Yeonju-su... " My eyes widened as I saw him in the prisoner's uniform on the television.
I went near her,snatched the remote from her and switched of the television.
"What are you watching? Why are you watching such things? "
"I was just watching the new--"
"No need to watch news, I don't like people who  watch news".

I sighed and left to change my clothes, walking fast to avoid the situation.
I started washing my hands vigorously, suddenly paused and shouted .
" Why the heck I am not able to remember what had happened, the heck... "I sat on the floor and started crying.
I heard foothsteps of a person running and coming near me.
" I am coming in."
"Leora! What.. Why are you being like this?" Said Hannie.
"I don't know, Hannie, why am I not able to remember, I had always imagined him in the wedding suit, but see him...He is in the prisoner's uniform."
"He committed a crime Leora. Why are you being posses--" Her voice raised.

"No, he didn't. "

"How do you know? Your memory is lost." She replied immediately.

"No... I mean why?? He is not a person like that, I didn't seem to worry about him so much when I heard about it at the hospital because I thought that he will get a bail soon but now as I saw him, my heart dissolved, he is not meant to be there Hannei. He is not..."

"Leora, come to reality, nothing can be done, the court will take the actions accordingly ,we can't do anything,with that you boyfriend denied to investigate you because you were in pain." She shaked me from my shoulder.
"Yeong-su... " I cried hard.
"Wait.. I can meet him right? Prisoner's are given some time to talk to their family and relatives , I saw it in few dramas. "
"Ok ok, we will discuss about it, first let's freshen up, we can talk about it. "

After changing, I still couldn't stop crying .
I went to Hannie.
"Hannie.."
"Sit here, why are you crying, stop crying first of all." She sat beside me and wiped my tears.
"Listen , I found out that we can meet him. "
I looked at her. "Can we meet him today...? "
"No, we are too late, the time has already passed away when the prisoners are allowed to meet people. Tomorrow and day after tomorrow is a government holiday and prison will be shut down for those two days and no one is allowed to meet on these days when the prison is closed."

I was speechless.

I got a notification on my phone, it turned out to be a mail, when I checked my phone.
*mail by sephora cosmetics *
"Wait a minute Hannie."
She peeped into my phone as I unlocked it to check the mail.
It read, *we are glad to inform you that, you have passed the test, held by sephora cosmetics and we request you to visit our headquarters for the interview tomorrow at quater past nine in the morning. Thank you. *
"Leora! "
"You passed it dude ,you did it."Hannie shouted.
My reaction was neutral to be honest.
"Leora! Common you can't be like this".
I just smiled faintly.
" I think you should go back , you will have to go to your job tomorrow morning, it's better if you return now so you don't find any problem.
"Won't you tell the others? "
"I will find the right time to, don't worry. "
"Oh alright, let me call him, he will pick me up then. "
"Yea."
"You'll be okay right?"
"Yup, don't worry"
"Yeah."

Seuno picks her up after some time , after she leaves, I go to my bed so i can sleep. But I couldn't. Again the same person entered my mind and tears gushed out of my eyes. I checked my phone to search something up but as I searched it up, I couldn't browse it at all,  my eyes got teary again , I turned my phone off and eventually went off to sleep .
