Chapter 10

After their tumultuous relationship ended, Meredith found herself in deep thought. She knew she had hurt Derek by refusing to commit emotionally, but she couldn't deny the intense attraction she felt for him. She realized that maybe, just maybe, it was time to take a risk for love.

So, after days of deliberation and soul-searching, Meredith made a decision. She had to talk to Derek, give him a chance to show that he was ready to commit seriously.

Derek looked at her incredulously. "Really? Are you willing to try?"

Meredith nodded. "Yes. I'm willing to take that risk with you, if you are too."

They sat down on the couch, facing each other, ready to have an honest and sincere conversation. Meredith began, her voice shaky but determined.

"Derek, I can't promise this will be easy. But I want to try. I want to give you a real chance, without barriers or excuses."

Derek looked at her with emotion. "Meredith, I love you. But I can't force you to feel the same way. All I want is a chance to show you how much I'm willing to commit to you."

Meredith took his hand in hers, feeling a spark of hope rising within her. "I believe you, Derek. And I'm willing to see where this takes us."

So, Derek and Meredith decided to give their relationship another chance. They committed to being honest, open, and patient with each other. The days that followed were filled with deep conversations and tender moments, each getting to know the other on a deeper level.
