Chapter 11

As the weeks passed, Derek and Meredith's love continued to grow and blossom. Their relationship was now stronger than ever, fueled by trust, communication, and a deep mutual respect.

They spent their days together, supporting each other through their professional challenges and comforting each other through their moments of doubt. Every moment spent together was filled with laughter, tenderness, and complicity.

Derek was more in love than ever, unable to resist Meredith's bright smile or the softness of her voice. Meredith, for her part, was amazed at the depth of her own feelings for Derek. She finally felt ready to open her heart fully, leaving behind her fears and doubts.

However, their happiness did not go unnoticed by their colleagues, especially Cristina Yang. Always frank and direct, Cristina could not help but tease Meredith about her relationship with Derek.

One day, while they were both on guard duty, Cristina turned to Meredith with a smirk. "So, Grey, how's your romance with McDreamy going?"

Meredith blushed slightly, but her smile didn't waver. "Very well, Cristina. Derek and I are happier than ever."

Cristina raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Oh yeah? And you've picked a wedding date yet?"

Meredith rolled her eyes, knowing exactly where Cristina was going with this. "It's not that simple, Cristina. But we're serious about each other."

Cristina gave her a teasing smile. "Sure, Grey. Just remember, I'll be the first to tease you when Derek puts the ring on your finger."

Cristina's teasing only amused their other coworkers, who were thrilled to see Meredith finally find happiness with Derek. Alex and Mark were especially happy for their friend, though they couldn't help but poke fun at him every now and then.

"You finally caught her, huh?" Alex joked, giving Derek a friendly pat on the back.

Derek smiled, his eyes shining with love. "Yes, Alex. I think I finally did."

Mark raised his glass in the air. "To Derek and Meredith's love! Long life and much happiness."

Guffaws filled the room as they toasted their happiness, grateful to have found love in each other.

Despite Cristina's teasing, Meredith knew her friend was happy for her. Cristina could be sarcastic and cynical, but she was always there for her friends when they needed her.

One day, while they were taking a break between surgeries, Cristina turned to Meredith with a smirk. "You know, Grey, I'm happy for you. Even if you're still annoying."

Meredith gave her a grateful smile. "Thanks, Cristina. That's nice of you."

Cristina shrugged. "Don't get me wrong. I'm just glad I don't have to listen to you moan about your love life anymore. Now we can talk about something else."

Meredith laughed, recognizing Cristina's way of expressing affection. "Okay, Cristina. Tell me about your latest surgery."

And so, through teasing and laughter, their friendship remained as strong as ever, even in the happiest moments of their lives.
