Chapter 15: The Wedding Interruption

A week before the wedding, Usagi's guests started to arrive. Kung Lao and Ami were put in charge of picking up the guests and taking them to the hotel. The first people to arrive were Usagi's parents and brother. Kung Lao and Ami waited patiently for Usagi's family to get past customs. Ami smiled and waved at the family.

Ami greeted the Tsukino Family kindly while Shingo's mouth fell open, and he gawked at Ami.

Ikuko and Ami talked a bit before she approached Shingo. She smiled at him and extended her hand.

"You must be Shingo?"

"Y-yes," Shingo stuttered, blushing heavily.

"Why don't we pick up your luggage and then we'll take you to the hotel where you'll be staying?" Kung Lao suggested.

They all agreed and went off to the luggage carousel.

That was how it went the entire week: Kung Lao and Ami picked up Usagi's friends, Naru and Umino, from the airport and took them to the hotel so they could settle in.

Raiden arrived in no time to visit them for the wedding. He was greeted by the Tsukino Family. He told them that he was Usagi's teacher from Wu Shi Academy instead of telling them that he was the father of Princess Serenity. The identity must be kept a secret.

It was now three days until the wedding and they were adding the finishing touches where they needed to be added.

The music started, indicating the wedding was. The guests rose. Usagi made her way down the aisle. Kenji was walking beside her as he led her to the aisle.

Raiden, Usagi, Jake-Long, and Sae-Byeok sensed something very disturbing. Liu Kang wasn’t the only one sensing whatever it was. He did his best not to show it. He didn’t want to alarm their guests or Usagi as she made her way down. Once Usagi made her way down, everyone ate. That was when Minako and Artemis noticed the massive dark clouds off in the distance. Kung Lao had already taken notice. He also noticed that all plant life around that area was dying.

"Kung Lao."

He nodded.

Liu Kang nodded towards his best friend. Kung Lao was shocked that Liu Kang was continuing with the ceremony. This thing he was sensing was so strong… so dark… so familiar… Liu Kang wanted to hurry and seal the deal with Usagi nevertheless first, then deal with whatever was coming. He figured they had more than enough time. So far the only ones to even take notice were Liu Kang, Usagi, Minako, Artemis, Raiden, Jake-Long, Sae-Byeok, and Kung Lao. The other guests hadn’t even taken notice. The wind picked up a bit and the weather was dropping. Minako grabbed Luna and Artemis and placed them on her lap.

The ceremony began, and to Raiden's surprise, Liu Kang and Usagi were just about done with their vows. Then the one question came that always does at any wedding. The preacher looked out to the guests.

"If any of you have any reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace."

The entire room gasped out as a sudden gust of wind blew throughout the area. A zombie appeared in front of them. This zombie is none other than Dark Endymion.

"You really thought you stole her right out from under me, Liu Kang!?"

"Endymion!?"

"No…" Jake-Long gasped out and shot up from his seat.

"Mamoru!? How did you...!? I killed you!" Usagi said in shock.

"GET OVER HERE, USAKO!" Dark Endymion demanded.

"HELL NO! I AM NOT COMING BACK FOR YOU, JERK!" Usagi snapped.

"Very well, I’ll just take matters into my own hands." Then Dark Endymion zipped over and slammed Liu Kang back before he even had a chance to grab Usagi. Liu Kang went flying back.

"DAD!" Jake-Long shouted before he could help out.

"Liu Kang!" Raiden panicked.

Dark Endymion quickly knocked Jake-Long out by hitting him in the back of his head.

Dark Endymion went to backhand her, grabbed her, and shoved her behind him. Dark Endymion died in laughter.

"Like father like son," Dark Endymion uttered menacingly.

Raiden whipped around, seeing Quan Chi face to face. Quan Chi had Sae-Byeok by the scruff of her neck. Usagi had been knocked out and was flipped over Dark Endymion's shoulder.

Then Quan Chi used his magic to drive it into the earth. A massive bright light filled the area around them. The guests screamed out in horror as the earth split the area they were in in half.

"Usagi!" Liu Kang shouted as all he could make out was the bright light.
