Calm Before the Storm

"...the Silver Key opens the Gate..."

*phone rings*

"... that same dream again."

The boy with white hairs, the #1 of Academy City, was woken up by a phone call. He was sleeping on a couch, and the phone was placed on a table in front of the couch. He opened his eyes and reached out for the phone, making sure to take the call before it dropped.

"Alright. Tell them to stay right there."

It was Yoshikawa Kikyou on the other side of the phone call. She went to a certain hospital for a full body checkup. Last Order and Misaka Worst went with her to the dormitory near the hospital.
Most of the surviving Sisters from the Radio Noise project were scattered around the globe. Only a few of them were kept at Academy City. They went through regular checkups and tests to observe and record their growth and conditions. That's why most of them were kept to the dormitory near the hospital.

Last Order and Misaka Worst went to play with them.

It was mostly Accelerator who took them there, but this time, he didn't. He left it to Yoshikawa since she was going there anyway. But he did say that he would go pick them up after they are done with their work. Yoshikawa just called him to say that they were done there and he should come pick them up.

After hanging up the phone, he stopped the alarm that was just about to ring. He then takea a deep breath and gets off of the couch to go pick them up from the hospital dormitory.

He was on his way. He didn't take any taxi or use his powers to move quickly. He was just walking normally. Well, it's not like the hospital is too far away. But it's not near, either. It's best to take a taxi or ride. It saves time, and it is not that expensive. Not that it matters to him.

He was walking because he wanted to take a detour to a convenient store. And one was right near the apartment, within a few minutes of walking distance. Soon enough, he reached the store. He went straight towards the refrigerator and picked a few cans of black coffee.

"Ah. What a coincidence. Never thought Misaka would see you here. Says Misaka hiding the fact that she practically ambushed you."

Just as he was about to move toward the counter to pay, he was stopped by a familiar voice.

"Huh, what are you doing here?"

"Misaka's serial number is 10046. To tell you the truth, Misaka was just returning the dormitory from her errand when she saw you leaving the apartment. With the information shared through the Misaka network, she waited for this perfect opportunity to meet with you. Explains Misaka setting aside her 'what a coincidence' plan."

Wearing a tokiwadai uniform, a pair of night vision goggles, and holding a bunch of Gekota toys in hand, It was a Sister. One of the clones of the #3 level 5 bearing a bloody history with Accelerator. This particular one is Misaka 10046. Like some others, she, too, stayed at the dormitory near the hospital.

"... I don't care. I thought you were supposed to be at the dormitory."

"Yes. It's a long story. So Misaka-... "

"Then give me a summary at best."

"... says Misaka, okay. Misaka lost the game of rock-paper-scissors hosted by the control tower and was tasked with buying the 'limited edition Gekota straps with a Gekota doll which are super cool'. Unlucky for Misaka, she couldn't find them anywhere near the hospital and was forced to look for them somewhere else. After finally securing a few units, Misaka was returning. Lucky for Misaka, she saw you leaving the building and plotted the whole 'ah what a coincidence' plan. Says Misaka giving a summary of her downs and ups throughout the day so far."
