Prologue

Y/n's POV:

I groaned as I walked towards the group of teens who were laughing I cleared my throat they turned to me glaring "Um do not know where you are little girl?" [she's like 10 they're like 13) I rolled my eyes crossing my arms "Yes I do. Now you owe me the G.R.V money." The only girl rolled her eyes standing up and walking towards me swaying her hips "Who do you think you are? As if we'd ever actually pay you back." One of the Boyd nodded laughing walking towards me poking me harshly in the head "Yea. Your gang is pathetic it's filled with a bunch of absent-minded kids." I glared at him hitting his hand away from my head "Give me the money, I don't have time for this." The last boy groaned pushing his two friends out of the way and pushing me roughly "Okay it was funny at first but you need to leave now. or we'll make you." I rolled my eyes "Whatever." I ran towards them jumping towards the girl wrapping my legs around her head and using my weight to cause her to fall backward I balled my hand into a fist and hit her in the face until I was yanked back I looked at who did. I saw the boy who poked me in the head I swung my legs up kicking him in the stomach causing his grip to loosen I pulled my arms free and punched him in the face pushing him away from me.

Jason Todd's POV:

I was jumping rough from rough as I passed through an old neighborhood I didn't have much to do tonight so I was patrolling around the neighborhoods where they mostly hung out, I heard commotion coming from one of the buildings and landed on the roof looking down noticing a girl who looked no older then 10 attacking a few teens I watched as she wrapped her legs around on tackling them as she punched them using her elbows to elbow a few that tried to pull her off. It was sloppy fighting but I didn't know what I was supposed to expect she was just a child. I watched as she knocked them out one by one. I waited till she finished to jump down

Y/n's POV

I was panting as I bent over holding my knees and trying to catch my breath I heard the sound of someone landing in front of me and jumped up getting in a fitting position again he tilted his head at me and I ran at him as he dodged me "your fighting is slow." He reached out and hit me in my gut causing me to bend over in pain he moved behind me kicking me in the back and sending me flying slightly. I groaned turning to fight him again only to be knocked over and pressed to the ground by a foot I looked up at him glaring "This is unfair! Let me go!" He scoffed "How's it unfair it's not my fault you couldn't fight back. Now would you like to tell me what you were doing?" I glared at him "Like hell I'll tell you." He put more pressure on my back causing me to groan in pain "I'm listening go on and tell me." I glared "They owed me money. Now..let me go!" He shrugged "Sure once you tell me why they owed you money." I laughed dryly "That's none of your business I answered your question now let me go." He simply lifted one of his eyebrows waiting for me to answer "I can be here all day kid.so you might wanna hurry up and answer," I groaned annoyed "They made a trade with My gang and never paid us back so I was sent to get the money myself." He nodded removing his foot I sat up glaring at him "All alright kid, how old is your gang?" I glared backing up "You think I'd tell you?" He tilted his head stepping towards me I stepped away "Fine we're between the ages 10 and 13.." he nodded "All alright..well let me tell you now you're all gonna get killed." My eyes widened as I glared at him "What the Hell!?" He shrugged "I'm just telling the truth Your moves are sloppy so I can only assume so are your friend's moves. You got lucky with those teens but in the real world if you get in a fight with anyone competent then you're gonna get badly hurt if not killed." I glared stepping toward him annoyed "Okay what about it? This doesn't have anything to do with you." He nodded "Yes it doesn't. But I can't say that knowing a bunch of kids are gonna do makes me happy.so I have a deal for you." I looked at him titling my head slightly "What is it." He walked closer placing his hand on my shoulder and bending down to my height "Alright I'll train you and you can go train your gang. But I'll only train you for a year if you don't catch on by then you're all on your own." I looked down nodding slowly "All alright fine. deal. but if I trust with you I want your protection over my gang for the the year." He nodded standing up fully reaching his gloved hand for me to shake." I looked at it and placed my hand in his hand shaking it "Now I'm leaving. Meet me here again tomorrow to train." He laughed slightly "All alright kid." I nodded turning around to walk off I looked over my shoulder to see him gone I Blinked confused before turning to walk back to the house I walked down the streets ignoring the sound the wind made as it hit the old trash cans I walked to the end of the street corner and turned seeing the house right there I walked in and shut the door behind me I walked to the kitchen where Jace was making some food he turned to me smiling "Hey Y/n how'd it go?" I sighed "It went fine I beat them up and they learned their lesson they'll pay us later." He stopped cooking and turned to me tilting his head and reaching out to cup my face "What's wrong you seem down.." I shook my head I decided it would be best not to tell them about that man. "I'm just tired I don't know if you. A tell but they still got a few hits on me." He nodded d, I turned back to the food "Well if you can go get the others we can eat." I nodded grinning hurrying upstairs to get them

*time skip*

I groaned as I was kicked backward I looked about at Jason, I learned his name earlier since he said he didn't like being called the man... I got up and ran at him kicking him up he grabbed my keg and flipped me onto the ground I groaned as I tried to kick his legs out from under him but he only jumped over it landing on his knees and grabbing my arm pulling it around my neck and putting his knee on my back "Do you give?" I tapped the ground he let go and stood up dusting himself off I groaned "I thought you said you were gonna train me not beat my Ass." He only laughed and offered me a hand which I took he pulled me up and I glared as he tilted his head "What I am training you situationally. But if you want we can practice slower so you can catch on." I scoffed crossing my arms "Really? I can't believe I'd want that." He scoffed hitting me in the back of the head "Don't be sarcastic." I winced holding my head in pain "Don't hit me." He rolled his eyes grabbing the back of my shirt and pulling me to another corner of the old place "Okay I want you to get in a fighting position." I nodded and got in a stance he sighed behind down hitting my knees from the back causing them to bend "Bend your legs slightly you look like a stick bug when you don't." I held back a comment as he walked around me "Bring your fist up they're too low to block anything." I nodded and brought them closer to my face he grabbed my right hand and moved it closer to my face "Keep it there so you can block better." I nodded as he looked at me again "Stay on your toes slightly so you can be ready to dodge or charge." I nodded as he walked to stand in front of me "I'm gonna swing at you bring your hand up to block it." I nodded and he swung and I did as he said bringing my arm up to block it I looked at him and he nodded "Good. we're getting somewhere."

*1 year time skip* (sorry if it seems kinda random I don't wanna focus on her training too much.)

I was 11 now...I've known Jason for a year and I would be lying if I said I wouldn't miss him when he left.. it would be different not going to see him every day..but he did what he promised he also watched over our gang I would see him sometimes out the corner of my eye..I walked towards the old factory and walked in seeing him sitting on the ground leaning against a wall I walked over to him sitting down beside him "You tired all ready old man?" He laughed shoving me slightly "Shut up...it's been a year kid." I nodded "Yes it has..so I guess you can leave now.." he nodded "Yes I can..you know who I am now right?" I nodded "Yeah you're the red hood..so you know Batman." He nodded "Well that's pretty cool.." he turned to me reaching up and taking off his mask I could finally see his eyes were a kinda grey blue...I smiled softly "You took your mask off." He nodded "I'm glad you can see kid...you know even if you're a pain in my ass your kinda cool to hang around." I laughed nodding "Yeah you too.." he shook his head "I'm not a pain in the ass. but anyway I have a question?" I looked at him humming he turned to me fully placing a hand on my shoulder "I know you have your gang but how would you feel coming to live with me...I could train you still and I'm not saying you couldn't go see your gang but you could maybe go on patrol with me time..or something." My eyes widened as I looked at him confused "You asking me to go with you?" He nodded "Yes I guess I am.." I smiled excitedly "So I would live in the bay cave and stuff?" He laughed "Is that all you care about?" I nodded "Of course who said I cared about you." He rolled his eyes shoving me "Okay whatever you say, but yeah you would." I smiled "8 would like that.." my smile slowly fell and he tilted his head at me "What's wrong?" I shook my head "Nothing just..what's I do without my gang they raised me practically.." before he could answer I heard footsteps I shot my head up and saw Jace, Norman, Sarah, and Elijah Jace smiled "You'll be just fine.." I got up walking towards them as I heard Jason moving around "wha5 are you all doing here?" They only smiled "well we noticed you'd leave around this time and we wouldn't lie we were curious..Y/n if he's offering you a chance out of this place then take it..we won't be mad at you." I looked at everyone as Sarah nodded "yea I'll miss not being the only girl but if your happy then I'm okay dealing with these idiots.." I looked at Norman and Elijah as Elijah smiled giving me a thumbs up Norman walked towards me putting me in the head,o "Your such a dumbass. Did you think we'd be mad at you?" I laughed shaking my head and feeling my eyes prick with tears slightly "Yes I guess I am." I felt a hand on my head and saw Jason nodding "So you're allowing me to take her away from you?" Jace walked toward him pushing his hand off my head "Yeah we are. But if you so much as hurt her we'll come and kill you ourselves." He nodded "Okay that seems fair." Norman released me and stepped back smiling "I'm gonna miss ya you know..you gotta promise to visit us." I nodded smiling feeling tears fall down my face slightly "I will..like hell I could forget any of you.." they but their lips and I saw tears start to fall as they ran to hug me I hugged them back laughing "You're a bunch of babies isng over me.." Sarah laughed "your crying tok you know." I laughed not responding as we just hugged each other happily.
