It was a gorgeous day out in Charlotte. The sun was beaming, the birds chirping and children in the neighborhood running around having fun. Kelly was in her home, cutting up some fruit in her kitchen to snack on. Eryx was crawling around, chasing after Honey, while laughing loudly.
Her life was forever changed once he came into this world. Every decision, every action she took from that day forward was centered around her son. She waited on him hand and foot, attending to his every need. She cherished every moment, from the sleepless nights to the early morning wake-up calls, knowing that she wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world.
This also meant that her career had to take a backseat. She chose to put her career on hold to focus entirely on raising her son. It had been almost two years since she had appeared in a movie or performed on stage. She didn't want to miss precious moments with her son, but she was starting to miss her old life. The acting, the singing, the dancing. Lamelo was able to go back to playing for the NBA not long after Eryx was born. Kelly, on the other hand, still found herself down for the count, her career on an indefinite pause.
Lamelo's return to basketball had been a whirlwind. The demanding schedule of games, practices, and travel took him away from home often, leaving Kelly to basically take care of their child by herself most of the time. She was incredibly proud of him, the two of them cheering him on from afar, but there were times when she couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous. He had been able to step back into his professional world while she couldn't.
Kelly knew her time was coming, though. She's been getting emails and dms about opportunities and this time, she might not pass them up. It's been a while since Eryx seen the family too.
As she finished preparing the fruit, she brought the bowl over to the living room, where Eryx was now cuddled up with Honey, sucking on his finger. She sat down on the floor next to him, offering him a piece of kiwi, which he eagerly took with a giggle. She watched him, a smile on her face as he ate the slice of fruit messily.
Back in California, Jasmine was at her house with Ryan and the other grandkids. That's basically been her life lately. If she wasn't managing London's career, she was spending time with her grandchildren. She needed all the time she could get with them since not long ago, she was told she was gonna be have another one soon. Can you guess who? You guessed it. Axel Reeves. (Get off of Destiny please. Let her breath 😭)
Ryan now has his own cooking show, which featured him cooking with a variety of special guests, quickly became a hit. Fans and viewers loved seeing him in this new role, especially since he had previously been more behind the scenes. The show had an impressive list of guests, including renowned chefs like Gordon Ramsay and high-profile celebrities like Selena Gomez. Jasmine better watch out because people are already making edits of him and shooting their shot. Not that she has to worry, he only had eyes for her.
London had been dominating the acting world. The live action "Frozen" was a huge hit, shooting her to stardom and opening doors to numerous opportunities. Since then, her face had billboards, ads and recently, the cover of Elle magazine. Her portrayal of Elsa was widely acclaimed, and the success of the movie had made her a household name. She was also rumored to be dating Louis Partridge after the two were spotted together. The rumors had started swirling after they were photographed leaving a trendy Los Angeles restaurant together. They looked comfortable and happy in each other's company, sparking a frenzy of speculation about their relationship status. Neither London nor Louis had confirmed or denied the rumors, leaving the public to wonder and speculate.
Ocean's been holding it down in the fashion world, FLAWLESS being one of the top clothing brands out at the moment. She and Kelly couldn't have been prouder of their accomplishments. Especially with the fact that they were on two different sides of the country. As of a month prior, Ocean had also embraced a new chapter in her personal life. She was now Mrs. Klay Thompson, having married the NBA star in a stunning ceremony that was the talk of both the sports and fashion worlds. The wedding had been a beautiful affair. Friends, family, and celebrities had gathered to celebrate their union, and the event had been covered extensively by the media. Aniyah was now almost three and becoming more like her mother as the day goes by. She was a bundle of joy, always curious and eager to explore the world around her. She had a natural talent for picking up new things, whether it was a song she heard on the radio or a dance move she saw on TV.
Axel had established himself enough to where he didn't model as much so he could spend time with and help raise his family. Especially since it just keeps growing. Destiny, although she knew it was a hard decision for him, was thrilled with his decision. They had built a beautiful life together, and their children brought them endless joy. It was time that Axel stopped and looked at the family he worked so hard to make sure they lived comfortably. He wanted to be there for every milestone, every laugh, and every tear. He wanted to be an active part of their upbringing, not just a figure who was often away due to work. Aasir was thrilled to have his dad around all the time now. He followed Axel everywhere, always by his side and soak up every moment they spent together. It was heartwarming to see the bond they shared, with Aasir often seen clinging to Axel's leg or running to him with excitement. On the other hand, Isayah was more attached to Destiny, finding comfort and security in her presence. Destiny often carried Isayah around the house, while he snuggled close to her, reaching out for her whenever he needed reassurance. It was a perfect balance between them.
When it came to Chris and Lindsay, things were different. They had hit a rough patch in their relationship, struggling to find common ground and often finding themselves at odds with one another. Their arguments had become more frequent and intense, and it seemed like they were constantly in conflict. For the sake of their children, Chris and Lindsay were determined to make it work. They knew how important it was for their kids to have a stable and loving environment, Chris especially since Kelly had to deal with a broken home, and they were committed to putting their differences aside for their sake. They made an effort to present a front in front of their children, trying to shield them from the strain in their relationship. Family dinners, weekend outings, and bedtime routines were carefully managed to ensure that the children felt secure and loved. Chris and Lindsay often discussed their challenges in private, trying to find ways to improve their relationship. They hoped they could overcome whatever this was.
