Veer was engrossed in his work, his focus unbroken until the door creaked open. Anahita sauntered in, her eyes gleaming with mischief. She sidled up to him, her voice dripping with flirtation.

"Hey Veer, tum toh itne busy lag rahe ho. Mujhe yaad nahi ki aakhri baar kab tumhe itna dedicated dekha tha," she purred, leaning closer.

Veer's eyes flicked up to her, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. "Anahita, tum yahan kya kar rahi ho? Mujhe kaam karne do," he said, his tone cold.

Anahita ignored his irritation, placing a hand on his desk. "Veer, tum itne rude kyun ho? Main toh bas tumse milne aayi thi. Tumhe yaad nahi aata humara waqt? Tum itne boring kyun ho gaye ho?"

Veer's patience snapped. He stood up, towering over her. "Anahita, tumhari wajah se hi Amrit aur mere beech sab kuch khatam hua hai. Tumhe lagta hai main tumhe yahan dekh kar khush ho jaunga?"

Anahita's smirk faltered slightly, but she tried to maintain her composure. "Veer, past ko itna seriously mat lo. Hum dono ke beech bhi kuch achha tha."

Veer leaned in, his eyes blazing with intensity. "Mujhe past se kuch lena dena nahi hai. Tumne jitna bigada hai, woh kaafi tha. Ab yahan se jao. Abhi."

Anahita hesitated, clearly taken aback by his fierce demeanor. Without another word, she turned and walked out, her confidence shaken. Veer watched her go, his resolve unshaken, then returned to his work, determined not to let her disrupt his life any further.

Veer was just starting to regain his focus when Anahita, on her way out, paused at the door. She turned back towards him, giving him a flirtatious smile and a lingering look. Her hand brushed lightly against the doorframe as she exited, a calculated move that didn't go unnoticed.

Just at that moment, Amrit walked by, catching sight of the exchange. Her face fell, a wave of exhaustion washing over her. She didn't say a word, but the hurt in her eyes was unmistakable. Veer noticed her standing there and his heart sank.

Anirudh sat at his desk, his heart pounding as he saw Nivedita walk into the office. She looked as graceful as ever, her elegance amplified by the professional air she carried with her. Anirudh had harbored a crush on her since childhood, but to her, he was just another face in the crowd.
