The roads were vast, a full moon. Unsure of what was going to happen next. The town was all at ease, there was nothing in sight and nothing to worry about. The night sky shined brightly. Then, there was a dash. Followed by another person chasing after them, quickly but it was much slower.
That person that dashed by was Sonic The Hedgehog, a famous team hero member and the mayor of Hero Town itself. Following him was Byleth Eisner, a smart member but not the smartest. Sonic stopped and looked around. Byleth followed after him as Sonic began to tap his foot. "You know where they went?" Sonic kept looking around as Byleth pulled up a map of Hero Town. Turns out, they were out following a late night robber on the loose. Byleth looked toward Sonic as he was examining each of the corners.
"They went down that road right there," Byleth replied. Sonic looked over and dashed down. Byleth continued behind but he was struggling. Sonic continued looking around and saw someone running in black. Sonic dashed behind them and tackled them onto the ground.
Sonic laughed, "HAH! GOTCHA! Do you have anything to say about your crimes?!" The robber was laying on the ground shaking. "Oh no-" The robber used a smoke bomb which caught Sonic entirely off guard. Sonic coughed a lot as Byleth dashed beside him.
"How did you manage to fail like that..." Byleth groaned.
Sonic yelled, "HEY! They're quite smart, since they have smoke bombs. They're probably fully aware of what is going on, which is frankly really stupid!" Sonic dashed behind as Byleth looked around for a way to stop the robber. Sonic dashed around the towns but due to the darkness he was continuously getting lost. He stopped himself to look around the surrounding area.
There was just silence and the crickets chirping. But inside of Sonic's mind there was chaos ensuing. Sonic kept looking around and then stretched for a bit. Byleth was slowly following behind despite running behind Sonic. He stopped and took a deep breath. "You know, there are much easier ways for us to stop this." Sonic looked at him in confusion as Byleth pulled up a list of members to contact. Most of them appeared to be asleep.
Sonic questioned, "Are you really going to try waking up our teammates?!" Byleth stared at him and slowly nodded. He took a deep breath and looked at everyone. "Uh..."
"Shuichi." Byleth replied almost immediately. Sonic looked at him in shock as Byleth then tapped his icon. Shuichi responded almost immediately and looked at him in confusion.
Shuichi questioned, "Are you... being for real right now? What is it... and are you outside?"
"Stuff is going on, can you get access to the gates and lock them all?" Byleth asked. Shuichi nodded as he opened up his computer on his desk. He pushed his detective stuff on the side and stared at the hero town security system. Sonic was still chasing after the robber as Shuichi was working on shutting down the gates.
Shuichi yawned, "What do you need me to do this for...?"
"There is a robber that Sonic is trying to chase down. I'm not too sure of what is going to happen if we don't stop them but they seem to have something valuable," Byleth replied. Shuichi stared at him with a face of confusion but he just seemed tired and half awake. Sonic continued chasing the robber around the city.
Sonic mocked, "NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU RUN! I'M ALWAYS GOING TO- huh?" Sonic looked over and tripped onto the ground. The person stood there staring at him as Sonic stared at all the soap that filled the ground. "Alright then..." Sonic struggled to get up as the robber continued getting away. Byleth was keeping track of where Sonic was while he was cooperating with Shuichi on what to do.
"Seems like you have managed to shut down all the back gates. That's a good start," Byleth replied. Shuichi nodded as he stared down at everything on the control panel.
