The Story of My Life

Pt.2

We were just happy kids, spending our days together, forming bonds of friendship.
While we didn't engage much with the other children
We found joy in each other's company. During lunch, while the other kids snacked on goodies from the café
We enjoyed our own treats.
The café would hand out animal crackers and other snacks that kids love.

Seto Kaiba often stopped by the small café at the orphanage to grab snacks for us.
He would bring them over to Mokuba and me since we were usually outside playing.

"Here you go, Yuza and Mokuba. Just in case you get hungry. We need plenty of food to keep us going," Seto Kaiba

He said as he handed us the snacks.

"Thanks, bro! This is the best day ever—all because of you!" Mokuba

He exclaimed with gratitude towards his brother .

"Always doing what's best, Mokuba. It's important to have a balanced meal to keep you healthy. I'll always take care of you," Seto Kaiba

He replied, his voice filled with warmth.

"Thanks, big bro. You're the best!" Mokuba

He said, his face lighting up with joy.

Mokuba was always happy when Seto was around.
They shared a special bond, always supporting each other like true brothers.
They, too, had been left at the orphanage,
Just like me,
After their parents had passed away in an accident.
As Seto tossed an apple to Mokuba,
I noticed him looking over at me.
I was quiet again, retreating into my own insecurities.

"Hey... I thought you might want something to eat. I picked up snacks for us from the café," Seto Kaiba

He said
His eyes softening as he approached me.

"What's all this?" Yuza

I asked, curious.

"It's snacks I got from the café. I thought you might be a little hungry," Seto Kaiba

He explained,
Showing me the animal crackers he had brought.

"Here... let's share, Yuza. I grabbed everything just for us," Seto Kaiba

He said, offering me some of the treats.
I felt a blush creep across my cheeks.
His kindness overwhelmed me.

"Wait... are you serious? You want to share this with me?" Yuza

He asked, her eyes widening in surprise.
Seto Kaiba shrugged slightly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"I wouldn't want to eat all of this by myself.
I mean, what's the point in snacks if I can't enjoy them with a friend?" Seto Kaiba

I felt a warmth spread through at his words.

"You really mean that? You actually want to share with me?" Yuza

"Of course," Seto Kaiba

He replied
Reaching into the bag and pulling out a handful of animal crackers.

"Here, take some. It's more fun to eat together, don't you think?" Seto Kaiba

I hesitated for a moment
Still processing his kindness.

"Guess.. it is. Thanks, Seto. This is really sweet of you." Yuza

He nodded, his expression softening.

"Just don't tell anyone I'm nice, alright?
I have a reputation to maintain," Seto Kaiba

He added with a teasing glint in his eyes.
I asked, feeling a mix of surprise and gratitude.
As we ate the animal crackers together,
I realized this moment was building our friendship.
Who knew that such simple acts could forge such loyalty?
Most evenings were the best.
As the sun began to set
Kaiba would invite me to join him outside to watch the sunset.
He loved spending time with me, getting to know each other better.
The view was breathtaking, and we cherished those moments together.
It was a beautiful experience—just as we had imagined.

In those serene moments
I began to feel something inside me, something different.
I found myself not wanting to leave him, and when he was away..
I would search for him until I found him again.
Having to known Kaiba for so long
Tracing back from our past to the present,
I cherished every moment we shared together.
