Rèmi’s POV
The Next Day

"You know if she had walked in a minute earlier, she would've found out." Toni-Ann smiled, reaching into her bag.
"She wouldn't have," I stated and she placed the drawstring bag in my hand.
"Oh, you're so sure." Sarcasm dripped from her tone and she rolled her eyes, playfully. "And everything is in the bag."
"Much appreciated," I said.
"Aren't you going to look to make sure they're all to your liking?" She asked and I reached into the bag, taking out the velvet box.
"Shae isn't stupid," I stated.
Would'a cause havoc inna her life. Mi nuh pay people fi fuck up eno, worse mi make she know this fi over a year now.
Perfection mi want and mi make sure a' it.
I admired the watch, making sure not to touch it. A smile graced my face, knowing Rosalia would love it. It came from the recent collection that I'll be releasing soon and I couldn't wait to give it to her. She doesn't even know about the jewelry company as yet but I'll tell her later.
Especially since this specific collection was named after her. It's been over a year now since the launch but Daddy was the face of it until a few months ago.
"It's good, tell Shae that I said thank you and she still owes me," I told her and she laughed.
"Okay, sir. We'll talk soon I hope." Toni-Ann smiled before walking away, touching my shoulder in a friendly manner.
This morning, Rosalia and I were meant to go grocery shopping but I came alone, not wanting to wake her. There were a few things I had to finish up before heading back home. She won't be up until around 11 O'clock because she was really tired.
I made sure of it.
My phone chimed and I reached into my pocket for it. A text from Amir came through, letting me know he was at the airport. He was free until the 27th of this month so he decided to drop by and surprise Rosalia. They haven't seen each other since his wedding in February of this year.
Yes, he got married to Breanna and they moved to Spain. He's a professional football player now, a midfielder for Real Madrid. They're both doing what they love and they're happy. I figured when they went on their one-year tour, they sorted out everything and set their plan in motion.
Rosalia mentioned that she always knew he wanted to play pro. He's impressive on the field and I told him that one day we'll come watch one of his matches. Maybe after Rosalia and I graduate or when he plays his next match.
Aside from Alex and Camilla, everyone a me friend dem weh have woman married and engaged already. There's no rush though, that's for sure. I'm just saying it's nice, but in due time Jardani and Jamari will set their turn.
Jardani is talking to someone now. He said it's not serious and he decided not to label it because he wasn't ready for a relationship. I turned my head the next way and let him deny it because that's not my business. If anything, I'm glad he's no longer with Geneva.
In all honesty, they were never going to last. One-sided communication, insecurities, damaged hearts and while one is willing, the other is afraid to try. They're good separately and not together.
Last I heard Geneva was talking to someone and then last night Rosalia said she broke up with the guy because she needed more time. It's clear that it has a lot to do with Jardani. Especially since she's always available for him. It's fucked up, though.
