ARABELLA WAS FINALLY DONE WITH HER FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE, and she was ecstatic for summer break. her and her friends, diego, santiago, lucinda and linnea had finally been able to plan a vacation together.

lucinda's family owned a multiple vacation resorts all over the world but had never deemed her old enough to go there alone with her friends.

only now, santiago had turned eighteen. lucinda's parents had promised that, once santi had turned eighteen, that they would be allowed to choose which resort they wanted to go to. naturally, they went with the maldives.

as it was lucy's parents resort, they didn't have to pay to stay there. the only thing that needed to be payed were the flights, which was done quickly. they would be staying there the whole summer, about eight weeks, starting from the thirtieth of june until the twenty fifth of august.

they would be staying in little houses, that fit up to four people. naturally, the three girls would stay in one house and the two boys would stay in the one next to them.

arabella had started packing her suitcase the day before, probably taking way too much with her. she had coordinated outfits with lucy and linnea, so they could always look great together in pictures. and yes, that was important.

all of the fathers would drive their own childeren to the airport, so they didn't have to worry about taxi rides.

arabella had decided on her airport outfit as well, deeming some joggers and a simple crop top enough. they were flying early in the morning, so bella wanted to sleep on the plane as well.

it was also going to be an excruciatingly long flight of fourteen hours. arabella had always hated being on an airplane, it was uncomfortable, cramped and someone always had a crying child.

"bella! hello?!" lucinda's voice sounded from her phone, snapping her back into reality. "yes, my sweet darling lulu?" she said, smiling innocently.

"did you even hear a word of what i just said?" the curly haired girl asked, stoically faced. "uhm! no!" she smiled again, teasingly this time.

"i'm going to shove you in a dumpster." lucy deadpanned, "lulu! not nice!" linnea piped in, jokingly trying to break up the 'fight'.

"do you think santi and diego have packed their suitcases? 'cus i know damn well, they didn't." arabella changed the subject, linnea and lucinda immediately nodded along with what she said.

"no, for real. call santi right now. i bet he's still in bed." lucy said, grinning. arabella did as she was told and added santiago to the facetime. it rung about ten times before the ceiling of santi's room could be seen.

"santi! hello. have you packed your suitcase?" lucy asked immediately, the only thing she got in return was a loud groan. "don't be so dramatic, santiago. it's one in the afternoon." linnea said, with that, the phone turned to the tired face of santi.

"i need you guys to die." the boy murmured, definitely annoyed. "oh!" arabella said, faking offense. "pack your suitcase, you hobo." linnea told the boy, who groaned again.
