Eda's Requiem

The night ended quicker than Yn would've liked as the sun starts poking out from the horizon. Yn slowly sits up from his place on the bed, his partner still sleeping soundly next to him. He sighs rubbing his face and swings his legs over the side of the bed putting his head in his hands as the cold air hits him like a ton of bricks. "Come back to bed." A sluggish voice tells him and moves over and wraps their arms around his waist pushing their face into his back. Yn puts his hands over theirs "I can't." He sighs, his thumb gently moving over their knuckles "I gotta get back to the Owl House before they wake up. Plus don't you have that thing today?" Yn asks but laughs hearing them groan.

"Why do I have to become the head of the Bard Coven? I would rather stay here... with you." They mumble, digging their head deeper into Yn's back and tightening his grip around him, almost taking Yn's breath away. A tinge of guilt fills Yn's chest as he hears his partner wanting to spend time with him, he knows that both of them have been busy with various things and that they have had limited time together, not to mention that Yn spends most of his time with Eda and Luz and his other young witch friends. He releases a breath, his ears lowering slightly before talking reassuringly, "Hey, you've worked hard for that."

Yn turns facing them, then holds their faces, squishing their cheeks slightly. "But I really have to go. King has this very annoying habit of jumping on me at the break of dawn." He chuckles and kisses their cheek. "I thought I was the only one allowed to do that." They innocently say. Yn blushes looking away from their green eyes. "I gotta go, bubs, but I'll see you soon. Promise." He kisses their lips and stands up. His lover whines as they fall onto their chest. "Love you, amare." they call out as Yn walks out of the room, down the stairs, and puts his cloak back on. "Love you too, Raincloud."

-Time Skip-

Yn luckily got to the Owl House before anyone woke up. He sits down on the sofa and sighs, letting his head fall back onto the back cushion, lets his legs spread across the floor, his feet resting under the coffee table and closes his eyes. Then his ear flickers as he hears the soft sound of small feet and a slightly larger pair running above him. He chuckles as he sees Luz and King run down the stairs and enter the room. "Yn!" King shouts as he jumps onto the lap of the hybrid. Yn's eyes open slightly, seeing the small furball standing on his lap looking up at him with big eyes, his paws resting on his chest as he stands on his tip-toes leaning up to his face. "Hey, King." He says with a small smile. Luz jumps onto the sofa next to him. 

"Where were you last night?" She asks, looking deep into Yn's YCE eyes. 

"I was out... with someone." He tells her, with some hesitance. Luz nods, not asking anymore on the matter, "Do you want to work out with us?" Yn laughs at her question. And rubs her hair, messing it up, causing Luz to groan, but with a slight smile as she tries to fix it. "No." The two look disappointed but run out of the house nevertheless.

Yn then looks to the coffee table seeing his notebook on the table with some new stickers that Luz and most likely Gus had put there. He grabs it and opens it to the page he was working on, seeing some small drawings that King did with Luz. He laughs slightly as he grabs the pencil and continues to finish the drawing he was working on the previous day during a boring position lesson.

A few minutes later Eda walks in and sits next to Yn. She starts reading stuff from a book with a cup of apple blood on the coffee table with her scroll floating next to her playing the news. "And we're back live at the emperor's castle." The reporter says. Eda stops twirling her hair with her pen and looks at her scroll, "Hmm?" Yn also looks over, slowly closing his book and watching what it has to say.

On the screen, it shows banners of each coven and their head witches. "In light of Scooter Crane's retirement, today's ceremony will confirm Raine Whispers as the next head of the Bard Coven."  The stage shows a collection of people. Hettie Cutburn is the head of the Healing Coven, she wears different shades of blue and has white on her hat. Her gloves and belt are also white with her eyes covered by some cloth the tallest of the other heads. Terra Snapdragon is the head of the Plant Coven, her hair is long and light green and wearing a purple dress. Next to her is the head witch of the Construction Coven, Mason, he is a short man wearing grey/brown clothes. The head of Potions is Vitimir. The head of Oracle is Osran. The head of Beast is Eberwolf the Huntsman who is a small orange/brown wolf, riding a ratworm. The head of the Abomination Coven is Darius Deamonne, who is the man who was facing Raine, who is wearing a white cloak and a lot of purple and with unique hair as it is made from Abomination goo and is moving.
