As the morning unfolded, the group began to get ready for the day ahead. Ava was in the shower, singing a soft melody, while the others started to dress. Emilia was in her room, slipping into her new sundress, the one she had bought at Isabella's store the day before. She was admiring herself in the mirror, putting in her earrings, when she heard a faint creak of the door.
Liam had walked past her room, but then doubled back, pushed the door open slightly, and slipped inside. Emilia, caught off guard, didn't notice him at first. But as she turned to grab her shoes, she felt a sudden presence behind her. Before she could react, Liam's hands were on her waist, spinning her around.
Their lips met in a passionate kiss, the tension between them palpable. Emilia's surprise quickly turned to excitement as Liam's hands roamed her body, his touch sending shivers down her spine. The kiss deepened, becoming more heated by the second.
Emilia's arms wrapped around Liam's neck, pulling him closer, as they stumbled backward, falling onto the bed. The room around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment. The sound of Ava's shower and the others' chatter faded into the background as they gave in to their desires.
Time stood still as they kissed, their hearts racing with excitement. It was as if the whole world had come to a standstill, leaving only the two of them, suspended in this moment of pure passion.
Liam broke the kiss, leaving Emilia in a dazed and blushed state. She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with a mix of surprise and delight. Liam couldn't help but tease her, his voice low and husky.
"I couldn't help myself," he whispered, his eyes roving over her face. "You look absolutely stunning in that dress. I just had to kiss you."
Emilia's cheeks flushed deeper, her lips still tingling from the passionate kiss. She tried to play it cool, but her voice came out breathy.
"You're not helping," she said, trying to sound stern but failing miserably.
Liam chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm not trying to help," he said, his voice full of mischief. "I'm just stating facts. You look beautiful, Emilia."
Emilia's blush deepened, but she couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. She felt alive, her heart racing with excitement.
"Thanks," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Liam grinned, his eyes never leaving hers. "Anytime," he said, his voice full of promise.
The air between them was still charged with tension, but they both knew they had to break the spell. They had a big day ahead of them, and they couldn't afford to get lost in their feelings. But as they parted ways, Emilia knew that this was far from over.
Ava walked into the room, still damp from her shower, and yelped in surprise. "OMG, don't tell me you guys did it!" she teased, her eyes wide with excitement.
Emilia and Liam, still standing close together, quickly sprang apart, both of them denying the implication.
"No, no, no!" Emilia said, laughing, her cheeks still flushed.
"Absolutely not!" Liam chimed in, holding up his hands in mock innocence.
Ava raised an eyebrow, a sly grin spreading across her face. "Save it, you two. I know that look. You're both totally guilty."
Emilia and Liam exchanged a glance, both of them trying to maintain their innocent facade.
"We were just... uh... discussing something," Emilia said, trying to sound convincing.
"Yeah, something very important," Liam added, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Ava chuckled, shaking her head. "Sure you were. Well, whatever it was, you two are adorable. But let's get moving, we don't want to be late for Marcus's big day."
As Ava turned to leave, Emilia and Liam shared a glance, both of them knowing they had been caught, but neither of them willing to admit it. The tension between them was still palpable, but they knew they had to put it aside for now and focus on the day ahead.
