“Hello, can I get…umm…what's the best item in this bakery?”
“That would be our matcha cookies, cheesecake, or dango,” he said sweetly.
“how much for… let's just go with twenty of each?”
He paused “Seventeen thousand, one hundred eighty-seven yen,” he said curiously.
I pulled out the money. “Here, that should cover it,” the man nodded to me as he prepared my order. I moved out of the way of the line.

Gourdo stayed by me the entire time, the guy waved me over and handed me my order. I nodded to him, turning around and looking at the alleyway. I turned back to the man “Can I get a few onigiri?” The man nodded as I paid him. He handed me the box as I made my way through the crowd to the alley, placing the box down in front of it. I turned away from the alleyway and began the walk back to my house.

I eventually reached the apartment building and saw a shadow move out of the corner of my eye, deciding to ignore it. I walked up the steps and unlocked my door, handing Gourdo the bags, he brought them into the apartment. I waited for him to come back before locking the door and walking over to Kobayashi’s apartment. I knocked on the door and a woman in a maid outfit opened it
“yes? How may I help you?”
I shook a bit
“i-i uhh… I'm Miss Kobayashi's friend..from uhh..two doors down,” I said
“Oh then please come in,” she said. She then appeared to sniff the air. I walked by her and over to Kobayashi “I got plenty for dessert” I told her and she looked at me and said “That's a lot, we didn't need that much”
“I didn't know how many people would be attending,” I said
“Not that many, a few friends; Tohru is inviting some, too, as well as Kanna.” She dug through her fridge and pulled out two beers, handing me one. We sat at her table and drank a bit, Gourdo lying down at my feet. He stared at me and Kanna, switching his glances in between. I sighed and stooped down, undoing his vest. “Go play for now, but we will be leaving soon,” Gourdo barked and ran off to play with Kanna.
