It was Wednesday evening, and Manya sat in her room, listening to music, but her mind was far from the melodies. Instead, it wandered back to the seashore, replaying the events of that unforgettable Sunday night. She felt a swirl of emotions—happiness and sadness intertwined. A part of her was mad at Nam Joon, expecting a call from him. After all, they had become good friends, hadn't they? But then, she reminded herself that he was the leader of a world-famous boy band, and his time wasn't his own. Still, why should he call her? He had wanted to experience something, asked her for a favour, and that was it. It was over.

She debated calling him but realized she didn't have his number. He had called his manager, and she only had that number. What if Mr. Lee misunderstood her intentions if she called to check on Nam Joon?

She criticized herself, thinking, "What about you? For the past two days, you haven't thought about anything else but work. Work keeps you busy, doesn't it? It's the same for everyone, right?"

She continued to berate herself, trying to justify her feelings. It was good to be far away from celebrities; it avoids a lot of unwanted scandals. "Oh my God," she thought, "the media will look for breadcrumbs to cook up a story. There are already so many people waiting to pull us down".

Thank goodness that night had somehow gone unnoticed. There were no traces of it on the internet. She let out a sigh of relief, thinking, "It's better this way. No scandal, no drama."

Convincing herself, she stood up and walked to her window, gazing out at the city lights. She let out a deep sigh.

Thursday and Friday passed in a blur of meetings and paperwork. Manya buried herself in her work, determined to keep her mind occupied. The days tore away like sheets on a calendar, each one bringing new tasks and challenges that demanded her full attention.
